Who new Bengal cats were so interesting!!!
Bengal Cats and Kittens: Complete Owner's Guide to Bengal Cat and Kitten Care is an extremely informative book. I never actually new the history of the Bengal cat, but now I do. Did you know that Bengal cats come from a hybrid of a domestic cat and a wild cat that lives in southern and eastern Asia called the leopard cat? I also didn't realize there were so many other hybrids with wild cats, I don't know about you but I found that really cool. These unique qualities is how the Bengal cat gets it's really distinct and beautifully wild appearance. There is so much I didn't know about Bengals, and cats in general and this book was just interesting to read even if you're not a cat person. Here is weird fact about Bengal cats, they actually enjoy water, I never heard of cat that actually liked water. They are an extremely affectionate cat from what this book says, and have even been described as dog like and actually get along better with dogs than with other cats. Bengals are also incredible with children even allowing their tails to be pulled, and keeping their claws retracted. What I gained most from reading this book though is what kind of owner you need to be to take care of the Bengal cat. If you're thinking about getting a Bengal cat you really should read this book. These cats take a special kind of owner, and you need to know what to expect when adopting a Bengal cat. I truly had a great time reading this book, and found it to be full of interesting facts and just an all around fun read.

DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GETTING A BENGAL!!- Check multiple sources/Veternarians.They are not a 'typical' breed of cat.
It is a decent book. In some areas there could be more detailing- health for one. My Bengal, whom is a rescue, has been diagnosed with IBD, Irritable Bowel Disorder; common to the breed. When he has a flare up, he can vomit up to 7 times a day and has diarrhea as well. He gets an oral medication when it occurs- may I suggest wrapping kitty in a large towel/small blanket and sitting kitty up so the liquid goes straight down kitty's throat (can't spit it out). Due to this, he is on a prescription diet (expensive- 7# bag is $30. I have 2 cats (1 Bengal, 1 Domestic), so I buy the 17# bag $55). They BOTH MUST be on the same food so my Bengal doesn't eat the other food and have a flare up. Mine will be 3 in Oct 2015 (rescued him Nov 2013) & has a medical file almost as thick as my dog's file (got him 08, normal health). I love him dearly and will never give him up. When he's sick, its horrible, I feel so bad for him... *****A Bengal is worth it for the RIGHT person.**** They require a lot of attention and commitment. They do NOT like to be left alone- mine would howl when I left (even if someone else was home) & run the house. He's better now with the 2nd cat, but he still looks for me when I leave.

Bengal cat
A few grammatical mistakes. I also would like to have read more specifics regarding food. Some pictures or links to items mentioned such as water bowl, play areas, leashes, etc.

New Bengal owner
My husband and I just brought our first Bengal kitten home a couple of days ago and we love him. However we didn't know how dependent they were on their owners until we read this book. Also, what to expect from the breeder and finding the right match. We are now considering getting one of his brothers in the next month due to the concern for separation anxiety. This book helps identify their needs in their breed and we've learned that they need our companionship most of all. So thankfully for the information we've read in this book. Concise and easy to read, a must for future and or present Bengal owner.

Please Read Before You Decide
This is a great introduction to the wonderful, wacky world of being adopted by a Bengal! Should be required reading before being allowed to purchase one of these great, but demanding, animals. If you buy one for looks alone and are not aware of their habits and temperaments, you and the animal are in for a frustrating learning curve. I got mine from a rescue because of that very reason. Recommend highly.

Great detailed book; shorter than expected
The book explains quite a bit about the animal and is a good detailed summary of what to expect. I wish the material was a bit longer and explain more unique things.

Excellent! Highly informative.
I am rarely tempted to write reviews but I felt compelled to write one here. We were recently 'adopted' by a stray Bengal. As first time cat owners, we have been reading everything in sight. This book is the single, most comprehensive book on living with a Bengal. She is a dream companion. Everything the book says is so true about our kitty. Thank you for your excellent reference book!

Good book
This book gives all the information you need ready for your new kitten/cat (history, breading, nursing, behaviour, what to buy for your new kitten /cat.) A very good book, but it would have been nice to see just one colour photo of the beautiful Bengal.

Good informative book
I really liked the straight talking in this book. It gives you the facts in an easy to read manner without any faff. Its definately going to help me in the future as I keep Bengals now and hope very much to breed Bengals in the future.

Wouldn’t recommend for pet owners.
Alright book, doesn’t really tell you much about having a pet bengal just about breeding them really.

Misleading title
Not complete at all and no training information and little on nutrition. A great introduction and pre owing a kitten or cat manual but very little use once you have a kitten or cat
