How reflective is the mirror when the screen is off?

The mirror is adequately reflective, and I'm an old guy ... I have 40% tint on the back window and it's still OK ... In the dark, all you can see is the headlights, but that's how regular mirrors are anyhow ... It compares approximately with the blue tinted exterior mirrors that I had on a BMW years ago ...

When first installed, the language on the monitor was in English, Now it is in Chinese. Is there a way to turn it back to English?

HI,Press (M) button 5 times and that will take you to the language selection, Then press up/down arrows until you see English. Hope this helps.

Does this monitor create grid lines on the image? If yes, is it possible to change the angle of the lines? (my Rav4 backup camera is not at the center of the back).

The monitor does create a grid (in meters). It does not seem to be accurate even when adjusting the angle of the backup camera and setting the 1 meter point to 1 meter, the other marks are not to scale. Not a big deal when you set the closest mark to the closest distance you would want to park to someone or something. As far as changing the angle, I have not found any way to change that.
