I was dubious about ordering this. I've worked in the leather trade most of my adult life, and I know how variable each skin is. Buying leather sight unseen is always a gamble, but especially with shearling. The dimensions provided are accurate, I'm sure, but not very useful. With shearling, there's also the variability of the wool - the length, the thickness, the relative softness or wiriness, etc. In the end, the price and my need were the deciding factors.The skin I received is really quite nice - a little on the small side (I was hoping for about 10 sq. ft. and this one is probably 8), and the wool is little longer and less dense than I'd like - but adequate and a very good value. One complaint is that it was crammed in a small carton with no regard for the wool. I have no idea whether the skin I received is typical or representative, but my experience was quite good.

It's for my dog. He loves it, and has been on it since he got it ! It's soft, a good size and has no smell. I ordered wool shampoo for it to wash by hand.

The media could not be loaded. I don’t like that it came crammed into a box leaving creases and folds in the rug but besides that it has a slight smell which just lets me know it’s real if anything and the texture is coarse compared to the picture but it’s my first time ordering a natural sheepskin so I think it just might vary by piece. Overall I’m content

I’m sorry to say these are horrible. Feel awful, like bleached dog fur, and smell like a rotten carcass. They are permanently creased from poor packaging to boot.I can find no redeeming quality to be able to recommend in any capacity.

The fur on the left is genuine sheepskin. The fur on the right is this “sheep”-skin.I highly doubt this is genuine sheepskin… it’s definitely from an animal, but sheep??? I question that.I already own a large sheepskin rug and it’s nothing compared to it. The hairs differ in type, shape, size, density, and softness. The skin thickness in quite thin in comparison. The hair thins out around the edges. There’s quite a bit of shedding. It does smell, but it’s also been tightly wrapped in it’s plastic wrapping, which wouldn’t allow it to air out properly…. The only similarity would maybe be the color, if that.Thankfully, it didn't cost that much and I wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality. Otherwise, I’d be really annoyed for wasting my money. Though it’s actually a decent size (roughly 2ftx4ft). I just needed some “animal skin fur” for a project. So, hopefully this will be able to do the job I need it to… and then it’s getting tossed out right afterwards. Which is the only reason why I’m give it a very generous 3 stars.That being said, this is garbage. If you’re wanting an actual sheepskin rug, I recommend you look elsewhere. Save your money and buy something nicer.

I bought this to replace a faux sheepskin rug I bought a while back. This one is much much nicer and obviously real. It is well worth it to pay a little more and get an actual sheepskin.

I am retired but many years ago I made and sold my handmade leather items at fairs and festivals around the western U.S.I used cow hides, pigskins, rattlesnake skins, sheepskins , etc. The price was quite low on these sheepskins and I was expecting grade B at the best. I also expected that they would barely measure the 2 ft by 3ft as indicated on line. One of the skins was a solid 6 sq. Ft. and I would grade it ss a B+. The other skin was possitively gorgeous. I would grade it as a solid A or A+. It measured out at just over 8 sq. ft. They arrived quickly. I am very pleased. I might order a couple of more and see if the size snd quality are consistent. This was a great buy for me.

I bought this for my Mom to put her feet on at night due to her feet hurting. This product worked very well.
