Best simple bluetooth earpiece on Amazon!
Lost my older Plantronics earpiece and struggled to find one to replace it. This earpiece is basically an exact replacement to the older Plantronics single earpiece models. I love the hard plastic ear loop that spins around for either right or left ear, and the physical ON/OFF switch. The sound quality for phone calls and GPS is as good as it gets. This is a perfect earpiece for keeping your hands free while talking on phone for working around the house, walking, driving ect. Your not buying a bluetooth earpiece like this to listen to music so don't listen to other reviews of bad sound quality related to music.

Great price but quality isn’t there
I have been looking for a Bluetooth for a while since Plantronics discontinued the one that I liked. This was the closest one available. It chargers fast and connects fine but there are a couple issues.1. Lots of echoing and person on the other side has a hard time hearing you2. If you have 2 phones connected and you’re talking on it once the other phone rings it disconnects the Bluetooth. My other one I had would ring in the earpiece and you can still talk3. It doesn’t sit in the ear good and it’s uncomfortable.

Great for the price
As a replacement for the Plantronics Explorer 10 and 50, this is an excellent alternative. The sound quality is not quite as good and it does not tell you how much battery life it has left, but other than that, this is a great unit. (If they spent an extra few bucks on those two issues, I'd happily pay twice as much.)As far as the ear piece not pointing in the right direction, it should be pointing slightly downward. If you put it on and look in the mirror, it is exactly how it should be. If the ear piece were parallel to the unit, when wearing it, the mic would be pointing straight forward instead of being tilted down slightly towards your mouth hole.

Volume is Too Low Compared to Plantronics E50
I bought this to replace one our two Plantronics Explorer E50 (that got chewed up by our dog) since visibly and dimension-wise it appears to be somewhat of a clone of the E50 with an almost identical ear-hook attachment and placement method and switch locations. The rubber ear piece was turned at an odd upward angle and glued in place (the E50 piece is parallel with the body), but i was able to carefully remove the rubber and cleared away the silicone adhesive then just snapped the rubber over the groove and it's staying in place, and now i can rotate it to a more comfy position to match the E50 The build quality is not as good as the Plantronics E50 or M50 as expected, but should be adequate. To adjust the volume when on a phone call or when listening to music, you repeatedly click the volume buttons. When you reach maximum volume, you'll hear one faint beep. To skip to the next song press and hold the rear volume button. To pause a song tap the round multi-function button, and tap again to resume. To replay a song, press and hold the front volume button. It wont however skip back to a previous song but none of my other earpieces do that anyway. Pandora sounds decent on this Vox 55.Sound quality on phone calls is clear and is almost as good as the E50, but the maximum volume level is about 15% lower than on my E50 so it works better in my home than in my car.I also bought a Jabra Talk 35 - the volume on that is somewhere between the VOX 55 and E50/M50 and sound quality is good, and the switches have a similar layout, but the ear hook is a little flimsy and is located differently but still fits my ear well and is comfortable. Either one of these are a decent alternative to the discontinued Plantronics M50 and E50. The Toorun M26 gets an honorable mention too.

It's not a plantronics E50, but it fits similarly
I've had Plantronics Explorer 50s forever. They worked well and the fit is so comfortable, I often forget I'm wearing it.This headset is not an E50, but it's the closest I've found.Sound quality isn't great, but usable. To anyone getting "low volume" out of it, check your phone settings. There is a setting that will dampen loud noises and this setting was the issue for me. Once I disabled it, the volume of this headset was fine.Lastly, the earpiece is glued on. You can remove it, but it leaves bits of rubber behind. This can be a problem when you want to swap to the smaller one, just know that the swap is permanent, since you will tear the larger one, when you remove it....because they glued it on. :|However, with the smaller ear piece cap (rubber piece), the headset fits my ear much better. For all the pros and cons, I ended up buying 2 of these. One for the office and one for home/car and in the week or so I've used this model, it's been a reasonable replacement.

Not as pictured
Foremost, I cannot stand earpiece loops as they always force headsets out of my ears and/or are extremely uncomfortable, so I was pleased to give this headset a shot after seeing all the pictures of the Plantronics Explorer type earpiece. We'll, mine came with a loop. I figured, worse case scenario, I could use this clone as parts to refurb my Explorer 50 but alas, not even the basic replacement part I need and is advertised, comes with this. That being said, it feels like a cheaper clone and the volume I thought was comparable, the speaker sound is passible, just a bit cheaper but not bad. However, everyone I tested with told me I come across sounding like I'm in a barrel or echo chamber. Almost... I would even tolerate the sound if the earpiece was as pictured. C'mon guys, update your pictures or send what you show.
