Pigeon Nursing Bottle For Cleft Palate

We have used this bottle for both of our children born with cleft lips and a submucous cleft palate. We tried other bottles but this one worked best for our babies. We were offered other bottles for cleft babies at the hospitals we delivered at but unfortunately those don’t seem designed for newborns. The team at Seattle children’s recommended these, they are great because the bottles come with two different size nipples so you can move to the bigger nipple when your baby can handle a quicker flow. These bottles are literally a life saver!!!

This is the only bottle my daughter would take as she has a cleft lip and palate. We got one from the hospital (that is great, no issues) and then waited over a week for the four I ordered. The four we received are AWFUL. The valve does not stay in place more than 2-3 seconds into feeding. This isn’t just happening with one, it’s all four. Waste of $100. Also cannot return because the bottles have been opened.. how else do we find out if they work? Ridiculous. Baby girl struggles enough to feed, these did nothing but add to our issue.

This came exactly as described with a regular sized nippled and valve as well as the size small and valve that was already on the bottle. It also came with clear instructions on how to use! I definitely recommend.

We originally started with the haberman bottle until we got this one delivered when my son was about five days old. This bottle is a lifesaver . My son can take it just like a regular bottle no squeezing required . Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is putting it in the bottle warmer because it almost melts the bottle .
