As long as you lift up the ponytail and place one of the prongs of the comb into the elastic before sliding it down into your head, it holds the ponytail up high. If you just lift up the ponytail and slide the comb into your hair without first putting a prong into the elastic band around your ponytail then your ponytail will fall a lot lower.

I had one before years ago - at some store which I could not remember. Used it for couple of years until I "temporarily" lost it, and my dog found it. Therefore, it was destroyed. Very glad to find THIS - perfect for my curly hair, especially when pulled into a ponytail. It looks puffy! Thanks for selling it!

Looked like it would work great, but not really. It's ok I guess, but I haven't really gotten it to work successfully in my hair yet. I really wanted to like this product but just couldn't. Maybe it's only meant for a specific hair type or length?
