Great alternative to more expensive branded spikes.
These are a fantastic alternative to more expensive brands of micro spikes. I live in The Lakes and the last couple of weeks I’ve had the opportunity to really put them through their paces. They are definitely best on ice and hard/compacted snow. Soft snow tends to accumulate into “platforms” underneath and you have to continuously bang them to get the clumps off which is a mild encumberment and renders them a bit useless. This is the same with all microspikes though and not an issue specific to this brand. They’re very well made and come with their own handy carry pouch. I’m a size 40 Salomon 4D Quest and bought the Small spikes which admittedly are a bit of a fight to get on, but they do fit. I’ve yet to try them on any other shoe but believe they will go onto trail shoes, trainers etc. Very good value for money, I have saved myself £30 by buying these rather than K******s.

failed on first outing
I bought a pair of these lightweight crampons for a walking trip in the Dents du Midi in Switzerland this Summer. There were quite large areas of late snow on the route. We walked the Haut Cime which is a steep walk with crossings of steep snow patches. The crampons were straightforward to attach and detach for the patches and were helpful on the firm/hard snow some of which had harder ice underneath. However, coming down a snowy patch, one of the rubber cleats split which I was unaware of at the time. This meant the chains and spikes on that foot were dangling below my boot and caught on my trouser legs which led to me tripping and falling twice leading to contusions (severe bruising) on my hip. The marketing of the crampons had said that these cleats were very robust which I find was blatantly untrue and positively dangerous. I therefore have to say that in my experience these crampons were positively dangerous and should not be used for even summer walking of mountainous terrain.

Great value for money
I bought them for my winter trip to Iceland. Bought S for myself (size UK5) and L for my boyfriend (size UK10-11) and I could not be happier with the purchase. Iceland in winter gets very icy, especially near waterfalls but with these on you can get and see everything! Great on ice and snow. I only found them slightly problematic / dangerous on metal stairs or bridges but then you kind of need to make a decision whether you rather slip and break your tailbone without crampons or trip over the holes and break your face. First one (in most places) is more likely to happen so I would recommend to keep them on even when you're as clumsy as I am.

Great product, no issues
I watched a video review before I bought these (2 pairs for myself and my wife, for a Norway cruise). The review was so glowing that I thought it must be a review sponsored by the manufacturer, so I was a bit skeptical. But I went ahead an bought 2 pairs. And my conclusion after using them - the video review was not overstating how well these work. They are easy to fit & remove - once you get the hang of it. We used them for hiking / walking - and they work well in many snow conditions. These enabled us to walk confidently on even compacted snow, which would normally be really difficult. A real help, especially for my wife who can be very nervous. So overall - these worked very well, and I can highly recommend them.

Great product. Fits boots snugly
Great product. Fits boots snugly, but not difficult to fit. Stays on in use. Used for high-level walking in snow and ice in highlands over the winter. Very happy.

Broke after two uses. EDIT: received full refund and free pair.
I brought these on a three week winter hike, and they broke after the second day of walking on light snow/ice (the metal/rubber connection ripped through, rendering one of the crampons useless). They were very effective before they broke, though.EDIT: The company quickly provided me with a full refund another free pair, so I changed the review from one star to three stars. Good customer service!

Ronseal crampons.
These crampons do exactly what they say they can. Unsure about durability but these are like sharks teeth, be warned. Relatively cheap but wouldn't take them to Nanga Parbat. You do however get what you pay for.
