Uni-BallSigno RT1 Gel Ballpoint Pen Blue Black Ink Refills, 0.38mm, Set of 4 (Japan import) [Komainu-Dou Original Package]

These refills are wonderful. Smooth, consistent lines and wonderful blue black tone. I used to be skeptical of the 0.38 mm size thinking it would be too thin and the lines would be too dry and skimpy but writing with these refills have converted me to this size. The 0.5 mm size just seems so thick to me now. By the way, these Japanese imported refills seem like entirely different products from the average Uniball 207 pens you get at your local office supply store. These Japanese refills don't tend to have the skipping issues and the colors are deeper, truer, and richer than the US versions. The US versions of the Uniball 207 pens tend to have an almost washed out, grayish tone to their black inks that prevent them from looking like the deep, true black color that I adore. The blue colors are also too faint and washed out sometimes. However, the colors on the Japanese imported refills are somehow stronger and tend to hold out better over time. This blue black ink is a good alternative to the black inks if you want to try something new.

My favorite pen is the uni-ball Signo RT1 .38mm in blue-black. I'm glad I was able to find refills instead of needing to replace the whole pen. This ink is great. Not as boring as black but not too bright as a blue. The tiny size still flows smoothly and doesn't skip, blotch, or bleed. It is not water resistant though.

Working very well, able to write details. Great customer service; they solved promptly even though it was national holidays.
