I live off-grid as my home is a narrowboat cruising the inland waterways of England and Wales. Having had Huawei MiFi via 3 previously, and it giving great coverage, I jumped at the chance of getting this unlocked version to use with my current provider (which also operates on the 3 network). I can only say that I am delighted with my choice, the performance being more than adequate for my needs both in terms of speed and reliability of connection. I can stream Amazon Prime Video and other similar services without buffering or interruption, which is one of my main uses for this. I initially had an issue with the supplied battery as it would fail after just a couple of hours of use. However, after a message to the seller, they immediately replied to say that they would get a replacement out to me by 1st class mail the next working day and true to form the replacement duly arrived as promised. 5 Gold Stars would be deserved based simply on after-sales service alone. Absolutely delighted all round...

I just couldn't get this working for me.Shame because offered a perfect solution at a reasonable price ...

This was just what we needed for our caravan, it’s so easy to set up and works great with a good signal but I guess that would depend on the network and the area! It looks good and is a good size so just fits in anywhere, the battery life is good on it and definitely good value!

I bought this for a forthcoming Europe trip. I tried a GiffGaff sim and it didn't work, connected but no Internet. The item came with a yellow business card, on it is the customer service no and Web address for a userguide, I called them and spoke to a charming guy Steve, who explained the units can experience problems with giffgaff, i've now installed a Libara sim, using the help guide, I was in panic mode, but successfully managed the installation. If you use Libara europe roaming sim, when verifying My Libara app it will need a verification code, put the sim in a phone to get the code... The whole process was a bit fiddly. NB I did a trial run with wifi, battery died after about 5 hrs, just kept it on charge, continued to work with no issues

This item is so awkward to set up. Not only are you setting up the sim for the service contract you also have to set up the item with Huawei…… not prepared for this hassle!

When I ordered this product I didn’t set my hopes very high after sending a router back to 3 because of a bad signal and unreliable. I had a email telling me that it had been delivered so I collected my parcel and when I opened the package and the mobile hotspot was smaller than my phone I was fairly sure I was going to return it and struggle for internet over the next week😱 I followed the instructions to set it up and Bang it all lit up with a full signal and fast. I then connected it to my sky box and it downloaded a film a lot faster than my sky broadband so I would recommend 👍10/10

I had a Huawei mobile wi-fi for about five years, but it started acting funny and insisting that I logged into the Huawei website before I could use it and as I didn't have any log-in details it became unuseable and went in the bin. I tried a couple of different manufacturers which for the most part were completely useless and were sent back, so it seemed that the only choice I had was to go for Huawei again.This seems to be fine at the moment, I've had it for over 6 months so far without a hitch, it's always on (some turn off if they haven't been used for 15 minutes or so) and I leave it plugged in to the electric continuously, unless the service drops and I go out in the car to find alternative reception. I'm tempted to buy another for when the current one starts acting a bit funny in a few years time.

Couldn't get the device to operate. Was sent an instruction guideline from the seller. You need to configure the apn for every sim and only a handful of networks are listed. One big issue is that you'll not be able to do this on a mobile device either.
