Q: How hard is the black breaking board to break?

Honestly, our experience hasn't matched some of the reviews. Our yellow board, for example, is harder for the kids (9-yo and 7-yo) than a typical wooden board. I can only break the black board with a knee strike. I can palm strike the red board. I'm a brown belt in Taekwondo, 50 years old, 160 lbs. with some prior martial arts experience, but definitely an amateur. They all loosen up a bit over time, but ours have held together so far.

And the black breaking is 1.18'' thick and 2.11 lb. The board color goes with the belt color, you can choose color according to your training level.
