THIS is the Magnesium product you need! This is a quality supplement that works 100% of the time. It is costly but this is PURE Magnesium bis-Glycinate. Warning, Long Review but hope this sheds light on the situation here in India: Sure there are many other companies (domestic) that sell Magnesium Glycinate. But NOT ONE of these domestic brands are truthful or forthcoming with how they formulate Magnesium Glycinate. Long story short, if you want a quality product made with the highest production (QA/QC) standards, this is the brand to choose. Also, Magnesium bis-Glycinate and Magnesium Glycinate are the same thing. How can one be sure that they are getting pure Magnesium Glycinate? Easy. Just remember that the Magensium Glycinate provides 14.1% of Elemental Magmesium. So when you see a company marketing this with claims of 22% of Elemental Magnesium, it means that they are buffering their product with Magnesium Oxide (which has the poorest bioavailability of Elemental Magnesium but is also the cheapest). It is a cost-cutting measure to increase the amount of elemental Magnesium and although it may work, such products cannot claim to sell PURE Magnesium Glycinate. Sadly in India, almost EVERY local/domestic vendor does this; even the well-known vendors with the highest number of 5 star ratings. But hey, don't take my word for it but check their labels for their "misleading" claims of 22% elemental Magnesium and see for yourself.

Since I used to work in a high end supplement store (no not gnc, vitamin world, vitamin shoppe, I said high end ok?) I had access to countless brands and forms of magnesium and most of the time for free since the distributor representatives would just give them to me for free as a perk for the large orders that I would place with them to supply the particular location that I managed. There are plenty of decent magnesium supplements out there, but there are also some pretty mediocre and plain out crappy ones as well. The lowest end ones use Magnesium Oxide (gasp!) as the only source of mag in the product. Just be aware that magnesium oxide is very harsh and considered to be a laxative! Yes, for many individuals magnesium oxide will send you running to the bathroom! If you are constantly troubled with severe constipation then maybe that is a good thing lol. Then there are the magnesium chelates(pronounced "key-lates"), of which most seem to be mixed with oxide as well. Be careful of when a label claims the product is chelated magnesium and when you look at the supplement facts it lists magnesium oxide as one of the ingredients and doesn't break it down for you as to how much is oxide and how much is a true chelate. As far as I have been able to determine, Doctor's Best Magnesium is 100% true chelated magnesium which would explain why it seems to work so well. I take magnesium for several reason. One is for a life long problem that I've had with charley horses or cramping. Not just in the legs either, but all over my body, even my eyelids!!! Another reason I take magnesium is for relaxation. 2 of these tablets before bed time and you will sleep like a baby :) I don't know what else to say other than this is a great product, perhaps one of the best magnesium supplements available anywhere and at a very affordable price. In my book it scores a 10 in "bang for the buck" because of how effective it is for what it costs.
