This hair clay provides a strong hold without making hair feel stiff or greasy. The matte finish looks very natural, and it works well on different hair types. I like that it’s oil free, has a light natural scent, and washes out easily. It also helps add texture and thickness. Great quality product and a little goes a long way.

This product works great for my pixie cut, adding definition and texture with a medium hold that doesn’t look greasy. A little goes a long way, so it will last a long time. Easy to use, though it does leave hands a bit sticky. Overall, a great product for pixie styles.

Edit 6/26/22: So after a couple weeks of using this product, I noticed that it seems to work better on damp hair. Better yet, after you've rubbed it between your hands, use a little water (no more than a drop, or it will begin to wash off), and mix it between your hands again until it gets really creamy, before applying the clay through your hair. It seems to spread more evenly, and the longevity of the hold has been much better. I've also had an easier time combing it through using this method, and getting the look I want to last longer. Granted, the hold still isn't as strong as they say, but it has been working better for me at least. I've bumped it to 4 stars mostly because I like how it's been making my hair feel, and using this trick has been yielding better results. Will update again if I figure out, or find any other tricks. EDIT 6/16/22: I reduced the star rating from a 5 to a 3 after using it for awhile. While everything in the original review still stands, I would like to add that the hold does not hold up in high humidity or sweat. While my hair didn't fall flat, after some time, I would feel it move, and I could run my fingers through my hair as if I had nothing in it at all. One bright side; the product still on the individual hairs assists with setting everything back in place, whether with a comb or my fingers. It also makes my hair feel soft. If they could keep the natural ingredients and increase the hold, this would get a 5 star from me again. ORIGINAL REVIEW I've seen many reviews complain about the smell, and while the scent is its weakest point, in my opinion, it's really not that bad. Like others have mentioned, it smells like lotion, but considering the ingredients, it makes sense. Giving the clay a light scent of something a little more masculine may do the trick (something woodsy or earthy maybe), but I don't know how that would mess with the formula. Seems to hold pretty good, but not the strongest. It's pretty easy to apply too. I'll review again in a week or so, but as of right now, I would reccomend this.

Works well. It’s kinda somewhere between pomade and hair gel but it isn’t sticky at all. Worked great to keep a pompadour in place all day without looking stiff. Scent is very mild 🙌🏼

I'd like to review this higher because I think it might suit other individuals better, this perhaps just wasn't my style. I'm not a hair expert so it's hard for me to say. I'm used to using American Crew Forming Cream (the green one for the color coding folks), it's a thick, waxy, cream that almost melts between your fingers as you rub it between your hands, has a yellowish/whitish beeswax type of look to it. It leaves a pretty heavy (shiny/greasy as advertised) feeling in my hair and is susceptible to humidity. I LOVE the more matte finish this Smooth Viking Forming Cream leaves in my hair, and it seems to hold up better to humidity. The fragrance is super mild but pleasant. This is a totally different consistency, upon opening it it almost reminds me of marshmallow fluff. After dipping your finger in, it's roughly the consistency of soft margarine. Also compared to American Crew's forming cream, this "reactivates" better with water. The more I have to add any water to my hair/product throughout the day with American Crew, the heavier and greasier my hair looks and feels. This seems to help my hair retain volume better throughout the day while allowing me to use some water to touch up as hairs come out of place. The Bad - A super tiny amount (think 2 or 3 peas worth) of American Crew Forming Cream is all that it takes me for all of my hair. I have thick hair, approximately 7 inches long on top, kept high and tight on the sides but not buzzed. I need a comparatively large amount (twice as much or more) of this Smooth Viking cream, especially anywhere in the back or sides where it feels like I have to add extra to tame short flyaway hairs. If you don't care about how much you have to use, this product is awesome. May also be more well suited to shorter hair. Though I like the product, the amount I have to use seems like a lot and this is already (at the time of writing) $6.16 per ounce compared to $3.69 for American Crew. Because this is about 66% more expensive and I use twice as much or more, I won't stick with it. I will more than likely try another Smooth Viking product at some point, the product seems good and despite both being dubbed as "Forming Cream" Smooth Viking may have another product in their line up that is more of a one to one match with American Crew's. If I could achieve these results with another one of their products without having to use so much, I would definitely switch to Smooth Viking over American Crew despite the higher price.

Perfetta odore molto buono niente a che vedere con il solito odore di vaniglia, cocco ecc... tiene tutto il giorno e non fissa i capelli ma li modella con effetto opaco che non da la sensazione di capello sporco. Si applica bene e si lava facilmente . Provata su capelli corti-medi .
