SQUARK!
This is one of the funniest books Ive ever had the pleasure of reading. Kendall Grey has made this book worthy of being read by Odin in Valhalla! I wont ruin the book for anyone but I will say that I cant wait for the next book in the series to come out!

Funny in the vein of my hero Christopher Moore. A laugh a minute!
May be the funniest book I ever read. Reminds me of Christopher Moore, from a female point of view. The Norse god Loki is back after Ragnorok...and he is a SHE! And MORTAL! Then hilarity ensues as she must adjust to the wonders of the 21st century, including learning modern language, while searching for her magical runes, and dealing with Odin trying to sabotage her. Her allies include a sexy grad student, his stoner buddy, and a chicken. But not just any chicken. He is the reincarnation of Huginn, one of Odin’s ravens. These unlikely allies must make their way to the Asgard Awakening convention to find her runes, and this is a nonstop adventure.I loved this book and now I really want an Asgard Awakening tee shirt...with Loki & the chicken featured prominently.

FrostGun for the Win!
I'm a diehard Loki fan and love to read stories about the trickster as a man...and even as Lady Loki! So when I read the premise of this book I had a gut feeling I would enjoy it, and I was right! Maybe I have my own Lugaz rune embedded on my body somewhere fueling my godly intuition?Loki is reincarnated in the body of a woman who awakens in the modern era. Loki has to deal with not only the change of being a woman that is attracted to men...but also with all the changes the world has gone through: electricity, vibrators, pizza, fast cars, waffles. Ah, America!Loki's on a quest to regain her godly immorality and to do that she has to find some ancient magical "runes". Joining her on her quest is a shy, handsome man named Gunnar Magnusson. And yes, just picture him as the name evokes - this big, hot, blonde Viking stud muffin. I'd probably be saying his full name like Loki is throughout the book too! That name is Yummy. I keep reading it as Gun Magnum...as in a very big gun. Wink. Wink. Anyways...Loki is attracted to Gunnar (who wouldn't be) and the tension that builds between them is deliciously frustrating! I was really hoping they'd get it on during this book...but alas, I think we'll have to wait until the sequel for sexy times. If there are no sexy times...expect me to write some steamy fanfiction featuring these two because they need to get it on. The ship name I've come up with for them is "FrostGun". What do you all think? Get on this ship, baby! Also joining them on their quest is dark-haired Sanji from One Piece...I mean, Rich boy/Playboy Freddie...who's a hot, bisexual guy with a goatee that you just sorta ship with everyone. Everyone needs a Freddie in their life. Where can I get one? There's also a pet chicken who is crazy and lovable. You'll see what I mean.I hesitated to buy this book, only because it's in the First Person POV and I tend to read only 3rd person POV stories. For a writer to be able to pull off a First Person POV they need a likeable Author Voice, AND a believable voice for the character. Kendall pulled it off! She's managed to create a badass voice for Loki which is not only entertaining but believable. I truly felt like Lady Loki was telling me her story.I can't wait to see how the adventure continues in Book 2!Book 1 is definitely a stand-alone adventure. But trust me, you will fall in love with the characters and want to see them tackling a brand new adventure together.KuroKoneko Kamen(Author of the Genderbent Fairytales Collection)

A howling good bit of fun
Probably the funniest thing I've read in a good while. Loki reincarnated as a blonde bombshell trying to adjust to the modern world is hilarious. He/She tries to maintain their Trickster persona and not care about anything or anybody but themself and their mission - finding runes that will restore them to godhood. However, this Loki finds not caring a little more difficult than the old one did thanks to the influence of the young man who rescued him/her from the ice at the start of this adventure. Gunnar Magnusson turns up to rescue Loki again at the airport in New York.Together with Gunnar's friend, Freddie, and Hugnin (Odin's raven now a chicken), they go on a road trip to Atlanta in search of Leguz, Loki's rune of intuition. More misadventures make for chuckles for the reader and a few chances for Loki to learn that kindness and compassion aren't weaknesses and friends stick together. The twist at the end I .never saw coming and I mean that in the best possible way. Very enjoyable story

Read, and laugh yourself silly.
This book had me laughing until I couldn't breathe. A seriously funny -and original - take on old legend and myth. Loki as a modern woman? Too much fun! Plus, there's a chicken! Any book with a chicken as a central character has to be awesome, right? And Huginn is no ordinary chicken.Get this book and read it. If laughter is the best medicine, this book will cure anything that ails you. Kendall Grey has proven again that she can write anything and do it well.Odin himself couldn't have updated and inverted Loki's world in better fashion. Absolutely read this book and stand in awe of the talent, the humor, the originality, and, of course, the chicken. And then realize that, as always, the fun and games are all part of Grey's trademark ability to keep you entertained while telling you something really important. Not gonna tell you what, though; you'll figure it out.
