Great, but with a few quirks.
Light:Extremely bright, but able to be dimmed via remote. I can't imagine anyone feeling like this doesn't output enough light. The brightest setting is probably on par with a 100-watt incandescent bulb, or at least close to it. It also has different color settings as well as the ability to strobe, fade between colors or blast light in sync with the music you're playing (and it helps if the song has heavy drum rhythms like rap, EDM, etc- it's easier for the bulb to pick up the beat.)Tech:The bluetooth works well from 20+ feet away. If I were to go further I would be in a different room, so it doesn't seem practical. For what it's worth it's rated to work at 10 meters unobstructed, which I believe is about 33 feet. I can't vouch for that distance because the layout of my apartment would force me to put a wall between my phone and the bulb, but I can verify that it works without a hitch at about 20 feet.Sound:In terms of actual sound quality, this is about as good as you could expect considering the sound is coming out of a light bulb. There isn't a whole lot of bass, but it's a notable improvement from just using your phone. If you've ever messed around with the smaller wireless bluetooth speakers at Best Buy or Target I'd say it's about on par with those. Where it really shines though is in volume. It can get surprisingly loud before any notable distortion kicks in. I was playing music with it while in the shower and could hear it easily over the noise of the water. I actually turned it down a notch because it was a little louder than I cared for once it was reverberating off the shower walls. That said, it's a small speaker and has its limits. If you want something to play music while in the bathroom, I think this will be as loud as you'd like and potentially louder. If you're trying to host a party and use this as the main source of music, though, it's probably not up to the task to fill a whole living room and be heard over everyone talking. It's a substantial improvement over putting your phone in a solo cup and would probably get the job done for something casual like a game night with 4-5 friends, but you're not exactly going to feel the thump in your chest if you want to go all-out with it. There's also a feature on the remote that lets you turn off the light completely but continue playing music if you'd like to save some electricity and use it strictly as a speaker, which is nice.Quirks:For some reason there's a 1-second delay between flicking the light switch and this light coming on. Not a big deal, but it's something worth knowing ahead of time. Also, it makes a little boot-up noise when it's turned on and another noise once it pairs up with a bluetooth source. On one hand it sounds kind of high tech, but if you have it where I do (a bathroom connected to a master bedroom) it comes with the dash of guilt that you might wake up anyone sleeping in the room with you when it makes its "duh-doot!" sound when you use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I wish there were a way to make that sound optional, but I've yet to find it. These are small things though. I surprised my girlfriend with it and it was fun to watch her look around the bathroom trying to figure out where the music was coming from. :)Overall: highly recommended if you'd like something better/louder than phone speakers to use in a small bedroom or bathroom. It's about the same sound quality/volume as a small wireless bluetooth speaker, without having to take up space on a desk or counter. It's not ideal if you want to drive a whole party with it, but that should be obvious.

SO happy I got this!
UPDATE: It DOES pair with Alexa! They sent me an email today (for no good reason, I hadn’t written back or anythIng) with updated instructions THAT WORK! I thought it was really nice that they sent me an email after reading my original review to offer more help setting it up but I never answered. Wow, these people really care about their customers! Back to five stars from me! Thanks, TEXSENS!I LOVE this thing! I took one star off for them saying it will connect to Alexa, it does not. At all. They lie. I messaged them for instructions, knowing full well that if it worked they would just post that info instead of making EVERY individual message them but okay. It didn’t work (the four pics they sent with NO words that were ALL of a cell phone) and when I messaged them to tell them it didn’t work they told me no phone is needed and that I should follow instructions. Okay! Whatevs! I don’t even care it doesn’t work bc it’s not like I can yell to Alexa from the shower anyway and request a song so it’s not a big deal.I am VERY pleased though that between the reviews and questions I read before ordering, I thought only one person in the household could use this- not true! Once you turn off power (such as the light switch in the bathroom) the next person can choose the bulb on their Bluetooth settings (if the other person is out of range or turns off Bluetooth) with no problems at all!I LOVE this thing and while it does make little dinging noises every time you turn the socket on, I’m fine with that. I can’t even fully appreciate the light colors bc I installed it in a line of other bulbs in my bathroom vanity light but it’s wonderful! I just make sure my Bluetooth is set to on (if it isn’t already, I usually just leave it on) and tell Siri to play Blue October (my fave playlist) and it does! It’s especially lovely when I forget it’s on and take my phone to the bathroom while on Facebook and it plays the videos over the speaker!I don’t know how long it will last (especially considering that steam will shorten its life, void the warranty, and I put it in the bathroom anyway) and I DID get this on a lightning deal for a $3 discount (bc it was on my wish list for a good spell) but I’m not sorry at all and I’m thinking of getting another for the other bathroom. If it lasts three months, I’ll gladly pay full price for another! It takes up ZERO space on the counter, it connects automatically, and it’s loud enough to hear over the shower! All you gotta do is either tell your iPhone what playlist you wanna hear (or start your music on whatever phone/program you have) and when you’re done, turn the light off! Since I have an iPhone (and an iMusic subscription), I just walk into the bathroom, tell Siri what playlist I want, and let her go until I leave the bathroom and turn the light off. It’s WONDERFUL! My playlist automatically pauses when connection is lost so I don’t even have to tell it to stop- bc, come on- I shouldn’t have to TALK to have EVERYTHING I want, should I? WINNING!

Really good sound, love the colors - remote is a bit hit and miss
I love the bulb. I have it set to change colors with the songs that are playing - I think it freaks the neighbors out a bit but I like it!. Sound quality is better than the computer speakers which is what I was looking for. Happy that I can control it from the computer because I really do not like the remote. It is very small and some controls are both on the same button so I find that when I am trying to turn the volume up, I end up skipping to the next song,,,, (excuse my nails, I just finished cleaning some old tools!)
