Astonishingly Accurate and Informative !
A wonderfully readable book ! Being unfamiliar with the term Narcissist , other than realising that it had a likely connection to Narcissus in Greek mythology , Wikipedia came to the rescue with a short summary phrase which I have borrowed here : "Narcissism is the personality trait of egotism, vanity, conceit, or simple selfishness." If you know someone who is like this - many of us do - read this ! Great cover too - in the background the word "ME" is shown over and over again - so if you know someone whose favourite phrase is "What about Me ?" and whose favourite topic of converstaion is themself , this could be the book that will help you ! Coincidentally , "Mimi" ( Me Me ) was the nickname that we had applied to our Narcissist before we even knew the term or the book - no surprise that we found it appropriate !

Interesting read but I don’t think all narcissis will take ...
Interesting read but I don’t think all narcissis will take your new approach well and still play on your words and mind. Worth a read tho as it brings important areas to look with both yourselfs triggers etc. I think this could help me in other areas of my life.

As a clinical psychologist, I recommend this book to people who want to understand this particular personality disorder
This is a most helpful and insightful book. I recommend it , as a clinical psychologist, to people who are living or workng with others who seem to be so difficult and demanding that nothing works to change them or their unrelenting demands. Highly readable and validating. Dr. Helen Nightingale Www.cbt wellbeing.com

Insightful and practical psychology book that is full of revelations
Insight is a painful thing. This book is more about you than the person who is bothering you which of course is more useful. Useful for the lay person (with a bit of psychology knowledge) or the therapist. I got a lot from it. I found it a very warm book. Half way between a self-help book and a textbook.
