Have had many styles of solar spotlights from box stores and garden centers in person & on line. These replaced my Plow & Hearth spot lights which have lasted me at least 5 years. The InnoGear are not as large, but give off as bright a light and are much less expensive. All lights worked right put of the box. I made sure to charge them for 8 hours in direct sunlight and so far they are working great. Mostly metal and you can tell by the feel they are well made and not cheap plastic, however the only thing I am concerned with is the actual stake that goes into the ground is a hard plastic, so how it holds up is yet to be seen. If you follow the directions there should be no problem getting them in the ground. DO NOT Hammer them in or push from the top. If your ground is hard like mine is at times, I use a large screwdriver and make a hole and put the light in. Makes it easier...just a hint!!! For the money you can't go wrong and these got high ratings on reviews and I agree with them. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

Bought two sets of these lights - they worked well for a few months, but they degraded quickly and in less than 2 years they are all so weak/dim that they barely illuminate anymore. We put them in direct sunlight for 6 hours in hopes of getting them back to a full charge but they are no longer functional and burned out. Would not recommend.

I don’t know what others are complaining about, they may not be placing these in enough sunlight to get a full charge. I mounted four of these at each leg of a pergola and pointed them down, I use the lower light setting which is bright enough for nighttime accent lighting, and they stay on all night. I’d buy again. Update: well, one of the four is crapping out around midnight so I replaced it with one of the two spares. There’s no way to contact the seller via Amazon and their support number says open 12am-12am, but then I get a message stating their service is unavailable. Dropping by 1 star down to 4. Hopefully the rest of these lights keep working, fingers crossed. Update 2: I ordered these Aug-16-2019 and as stated previously one was pretty much DOA. It is now April 2020 and one of them has been getting dimmer over the past week, tonight it is just flashing. My LED porch light did the same thing before it finally died. These are cheap and don’t last long. Would not buy again. Update 3: if you go to their actual web site you can contact customer service. They have a decent warranty and customer service sent me some replacements for those that were not working free of charge. I now have four on my pergola (pictured) and one under a tree out front and all are working. They seem cheaply made and I’m not sure how much longer they will last, but customer service has gone out of their way to make things right. I’m not sure I’d pay > $70 for these, that seems awfully high for every other one needing replacement.
