Might work for some, but was too much trouble
We needed to protect a wound on our dog's knee (post-TPLO). So it was important to make sure the pant leg didn't ride up, and based on other reviews we got the "closed" pant (so he couldn't access from the "crotch" opening). He's got a deep chest, long body, and long legs, so we got the XL. However, he is not very muscular so the pant leg is pretty loose, we had to roll the leg up so he wouldn't trip, and the pants still wouldn't stay up (since it didn't go all the way to his armpits). I know there is a "suspenders" available - but I wasn't willing to throw good money after bad. If it had loops all around the waistband then we could tie it to his harness - I will probably add some myself if we ever find a need to use it again. That said, pulling the pants completely off so he can pee is really troublesome (esp. since he's got an injury and has trouble standing on the post-surgery leg).FYI, the "After Surgery" "Dog Recovery Sleeve" worked much better: we could tape a bandage inside to protect the wound, it was easier to secure, it fit better, and he could do all his "business" with it on: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NJB7T8R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Easier Recovery
I was at my wits end because my dog would not keep an e-cone on after knee surgery. I tried 3 different soft e-cones without luck. I ordered the original Mozzie pants because my dog has a long snout. I had to retro fit the pants to make it easier to put on. Difficult to get on a dog that can’t bend her knee and can’t put any weight on surgery leg. Rolled up the pant legs, cut the tail hole larger and viola! Success! No fighting to keep them on and it keeps the surgical site clean and warm where her fur was shaved off (it’s winter). The pants are nicely made with stretchy fabric that does nothing unravel after cutting with scissors. The blue is cute, like denim jeans! One suggestion for the manufacturer- please make a female model without the bulky “tummy” strip. It tends to bunch up and makes it difficult to get the pants on. They resemble men’s briefs with masculine waist band and reinforced crotch:). I’m impressed with the quality and kudos to the ladies who make them! Thank you!

Great pants - make sure to buy original if you are looking for post surgery pants!!
These are the original pants. These are excellent post surgery pants and an alternative to the dreaded cone. He is not crazy about them but they were way better than the cone and he slept much better. They provide full coverage and my vet was happy that we got these. I wish I had ordered them earlier. I ordered the walking pants by mistake first. The walking pants are super cute and allow the dog to do things dogs do on a walk. The original pants must be removed for walks. Our dog is a 26 pound terrier daushund mix and these things pants are a medium. I pinned them to his harness in the front and the back. It says you can cut the leg length to fit your dog. I haven’t done that yet because our little guy is creative and I wanted to make sure he could not get to the stitches! I would highly recommend these! They are a very nice soft material that seems like it will hold up well. The owner of the company is wonderful to work with.

So excited to avoid the cone of shame!
The vet sent us home after surgery with a huge plastic cone. Coconut couldn't get into his bed under the counter, bashed into the furniture, and left bruises on our knees. These adorable pants were a lifesaver. He was able to get back to his usual self while still keeping his incision safe. He is a 65lb vizsla so his shape doesn't lend itself to snug fitting pants. Mozzie Pants provided some excellent SUSPENDERS to keep them up. So perfect. Although I hope we don't regularly have a need for fashion-forward dog pants, I would get these again in a minute!

Perfect for Hot Spots, This Cone-Alternative Fits My Dog Like a Glove
These pants are great! They fit my 16-lb very hairy Shih Tzu like a glove - I ordered the small size based on a 17.5" girth. I did need to add a suspender since he's an active dog and the pants will slide off eventually without it. The material is very soft and stretchy -- he doesn't seem to mind wearing them. I bought them for covering hot spots, and they work perfectly for preventing licking and chewing. I couldn't bear to make him wear a cone, so I love this very humane option. If you have any questions or need assistance, the owner, Jules, is beyond helpful. The pants are very well constructed, and definitely worth the cost. We'll all sleeping well at night once again. Thank you, Jules, for such a dog-friendly cone alternative!

Trim well & stretchy
To be honest, these did not work for us, but I was grasping at straws. Our 60lb. lab/boxer had her hind leg amputated. She wore a cone for 2 weeks bumping into everything while adjusting to balancing on 3 legs. I cut and sewed one leg hole of the pants closed in hopes of removing the cone. The pants kept slipping down either exposing the dressing or tripping the remaining hind leg. The pants did not run where I cut them. They were baggy on the leg but fit the chest. There is a lot of stretch to the material. There needs to be a sewn on harness material that fastened on the top back. The pants would be difficult to put on and off a big site dog though.

Odd sizing and too hard to get on/off
Pros:Covers everything and can stop dogs from licking constantly.Cons:- Very hard to get in and out of and needs a velcro side entry system.- X-Small was too small, Small was too big.- More expensive than my human pants. =P

Great for any Dog
We have a 15 lb Moen who is 14 yo. He has many issues so he didn't need the flare upon a sudden hot spot. we saw the photo and thought they would work well in preventing him from chewing himself. They work fantastic. Light weight for easy movement yet protective. Pants are well designed and well worth the price.
