Fiancé's game changer: 70kg Single to 90kg x 5 reps in 3 weeks! Just don't lose them!!
Purchased for my fiancé, these were an absolute success story! Deadlifts can often reach a 'grip strength' or 'hand injury' bottleneck and these rod hooks absolutely helped her blast *way* beyond those plateaus. Looking at her Instagram (@nursef8), I can see she was pulling 60-70kg as a 'heavy' lift (55kg bw) back at the end of July... about three weeks later, with the Rod Hooks, she pulling 90kg for 5 reps. Not just reps, but clean, deliciously easy-looking reps. There's no way that was happening without the rod hooks. We racked 100kg after, but the bar literally did not move, but that 90 was a PR and for 5 gorgeous reps! The rod hooks literally transformed the deadlift for her, taking away her wrist injury (she had surgery a few years ago) back into a compound movement -all hams and back -with no wrist issues to hold her back. The rod hooks can also be used for other exercises -like heavy seated rows, bent over barbell rows and even pulldowns/pullups. She only really used them for deadlifts (to take the wrist out of the equation), but found they were versatile. I think the big advantage to these are the 'rods', as opposed the the 'flat' hooks you see on competing products; the 'rods' help by allowing you to keep some kind of tactile touch to the bar so it feels natural. The SADDEST part however is that we left the rod hooks overnight at the gym. It's been about 2 weeks since and no one 'handed them in'. I've not ordered a replacement because we found an old pair of 'hooks' in an old gym box... (rhymes with ARR-DEE-EX) but they are poor comparisons to the Grip Strength product; the Grip Strength wraps are very comfortable and secure which is very important. We'll definitely re-order from Grip Power Pads and this time we'll be sure to submit a video review before losing the product!Do check out my fiancé's Insta (@nursef8) deadlift videos -with and without the rods -and see for yourself what a difference they made! Interestingly, her deadlift has gone DOWN since losing the rods! Which is expected, and we're also training Cleans more now... but it is undeniable how much of a difference these can make! And remember, the 'rod' design feels natural, you can still touch the bar.***These are absolutely game changers and I couldn't recommend them enough... just hold on to them (!) if lost, they will not likely be handed back! :DGaryInstagram: @nursef8

Great Hooks
I purchased these hooks to help relieve the pain in my forearm when training my back. Firstly, I'm not happy about how this product got its positive reviews. When the hooks arrived there was a card attached which stated "Leave a product review and get a full refund or a free pair". Call me cynical if you want but doesn't this encourage people to be dishonest? Do you think that you would get a full refund or free pair if you gave a 1 star review? However, I'm not saying that the reviewers here are giving insincere reviews because the product is actually great which makes my complaint sound strange. These hooks are comfortable and strong but I would not recommend a 600lbs load on them like it seems to state they can handle. Great for shrugs, rows and chin-ups etc, but wouldn't use them for heavy deadlifts.I still use these hooks even though the pain in my forearm (from an injury) has now gone. They help me remove some of the bicep assistance from training my back and help with the mind-muscle connection.

Good quality, sturdy construction, comfortable, unisex
Unlike some of the cheaper alternatives, these lifting rod hooks feel very sturdy, are quite comfortable because of the thick neoprene, and can fit onto slimmer wrists (approx 6 inches in circumference). I bought them as an alternative to my (also very good) Cobra Grips because these are quicker and easier to get on and off the bars if you're trying to keep rest time to a minimum. They're overall a very good quality product that I would recommend.

Very quick lock in compared to normal straps
After using basic straps for a long time I decided to try these. Really impressed with the build quality, very sturdy!!Much much quicker to lock your grip than conventional straps. Struggled to get the balance right using heavy dumbbells for shrugs. But for any form of heavy Barbell lifts these are a must for me now!!
