Excellent emergency and gift item
There are many versions of battery banks on the market. Trouble is that if you are away from electrical outlets or power outage, when your non-solar bank is depleted, you are done charging. So, why this specific power bank? Well, for starters, it is solar powered as well as wall rechargeable. Second, it has many other functions than simply recharging. It has a light (quite bright, too!) on the reverse of the solar panel. This light can be a flashlight, but also flashes SOS. The metal frame with suction cups allows me to recharge in my car (suction cups used when actually driving, otherwise dashboard works), my home on a sun bathed window, boat, camping, B.O.B., or college student. The uses are restricted by your imagination. I just have to use common sense where and when I place the device for charging. I’m in Michigan, so the heat is not too hot in my car (with windows cracked) for the battery to suffer damage. Read warnings.I used this on off grid property in the South. It worked tremendously well when the charger was in direct sunlight and phone plugged in to recharge in the shade. I learned that when my phone is in the sunlight also, it overheated the phone and it would not accept recharge, so recharge items in the shade or keep covered if possible. Charging that way completely recharged my phone fairly quickly and loss no overall charge to itself. In other words, if you can recharge during daylight vs in the evening, you will have a full to near full charge during the evening time for flashlight or other items to charge. There are 2 ports to plug in to recharge, so 2 items can get recharged simultaneously. We always did that with unit in direct sunlight. Works fantastically! This unit does take time to bring it up to almost full charge (it only reaches full charge plugged into electrical outlet), but that is fine. Even with a low bank, if placed in the sun it can still charge as if it were a full charge. But know that the recharge goes to your phone and not the unit. After your phone is charged, leave solar charger in sunlight still to fill up its battery potential.I am a retired fire fighter/paramedic. There is one tool that I used on almost every call, fire or medical. That was my flashlight. This item has that. Many of our tools were rechargeable and important to maintain their charges. If the tool lost its charge out in the field, had to wait to recharge back at the station. Not a great event to happen in emergencies. I also did public speaking regarding home preparedness. Our government wants us to be self sustainable until they can organize and get help out to those in emergency situations (inspired by the events of Katrina). This item is a perfect addition to anyone's preparedness kit or bug out bag (BOB).Finally, the device has a big enough bank to actually recharge a phone from empty to full at least one time, even in the dark. It is inexpensive compared to other similar products and it offers more than just a recharge.I give this primarily to high school graduates. They are technology reliant, so a solar recharger will be of great benefit to them. But, I also give as a gift to family and friends for their own emergency usages. I would normally receive a thank you after some storm or power outage that the recipient went through and were grateful to have this battery bank. This item will not resolve all of your power needs, but that is not its purpose. It is for emergencies. Just enough to get one through an event at least with their phone or Kindle. My advice, if you are pondering this item, just get it. You truly will be surprised at how satisfied you will be with it.

My Solar Power Adventure in Islamabad: MetFut Solar Power Bank 38800mAh Rocks!
Hey, awesome peeps! I just got back from my trip to Islamabad, Pakistan, and I had the most amazing time with my MetFut Solar Power Bank 38800mAh. Seriously, this thing was a total game-changer for my adventure! Here's the scoop:First things first, this power bank is a beast! With its 38800mAh capacity, it kept all my devices charged up throughout my time in Islamabad. No more worrying about running out of battery while exploring the city or capturing cool photos. But here's where it gets even cooler: the solar charging feature. Islamabad had plenty of sunshine, and I took full advantage of it. I just left the power bank out in the sun, and it soaked up all that solar goodness. It was like having my own little sun-powered battery backup. So awesome!Oh, and let me tell you, this power bank is tough stuff. I accidentally dropped it a few times (oops!), but it didn't even flinch. It's built to handle shocks, dust, and even water. So, whether I was sightseeing in the city or hiking in the Margalla Hills, my power bank stayed strong and protected. Here's the cherry on top: the suction cup mount. I attached it to my backpack while exploring Faisal Mosque and Daman-e-Koh, and it stayed put. That meant hands-free solar charging while I was busy taking in the breathtaking views. It was like having a sun-powered sidekick on my backpack. And wait, there's more! The power bank also has a built-in flashlight with different modes. It came in super handy when I was out exploring the city at night or even just reading in my tent. Plus, the SOS mode could be a real lifesaver in case of emergencies. It added a cool touch of adventure to my trip. With its three USB ports, I could charge my phone, my friend's phone, and even share some power with fellow travelers. No more fights over who gets to charge first. We were all happy campers! Now, one thing to keep in mind is that solar charging takes time. You gotta be patient and give it lots of sunlight to recharge fully. But hey, it's totally worth it because you're using clean energy from the sun. Just make sure to charge it up fully before your trip, so you have a solid backup ready to go.All in all, my MetFut Solar Power Bank 38800mAh made my Islamabad trip a blast. With its massive power, solar charging awesomeness, rugged build, suction cup mount, and handy flashlight, it was like having a trusty travel companion with me. If you're planning an adventure in Islamabad or anywhere sunny, this power bank is a must-have. Get ready for some serious power-packed fun!

Great!
This is the first Solar battery pack that I actually really like. It charges really fast with electricity and when I keep it at "base" in the window it just doesn't go dead. I've had a portable USB Tent "Ceiling Fan" running for several days on it nonstop and charged my cell twice and not had to plug it in at all to recharge. The last Solar battery pack I bought was a total joke, it took 4 days to get a solar charge and it cost more than double what this one does. The window mount kit is the feature that just really sets it apart from others. It really truly stays put with the suction cups so I just set it in the mount at the window and it takes care of itself. You can't beat it!
