Bought this to add the USB C connector to my machine. Simply dropped in the slot however I would suggest plugging in a stick before tightening the screw because the USB connectors are horizontal and you might not align the card properly. It worked without drivers in my Artix Linux installation.

Why i dont like it,1. you cant plug nothing in to usb-c due lack of room, it just not goint to the end.2. very difficult to plug any usb because all usb ports are vertical installed, just lack of room, i attached picture for better understanding, if you plug something like wifi dongle, keyboard or mouse and forget about it yes will work, but if you wanna constantly plug in something, you can forget and dont waste your time.

A fine USB card that does the job well. Drivers are installed via windows update and work fine. The proper full driver is easy to find via a search engine.I do wish the USB's were side-by-side and not stacked but that is not something I'm willing to knock stars off for as it's clearly shown and I made the choice to buy knowing this.Word of caution: Do not try to charge devices from this and do not try to fill all ports and use them all at the same time; as this device is powered only from the PCI slot your power is limited and you could run into issues if you try to ask too much of it.

When it first arrived I was really pleased. Seems well made, very easy to fit and was able to connect my USB-C dock directly to the It USB-C connection. Happy days!However, I then plugged in two external hard drives to two of the USB3 ports and then the problems started. One kept falling whilst copying files, even though the drive worked fine in a built in port. Then the other drive did the same! Tried the other ports and again, fine art first then fail. Not good. Only keeping it as the dock connection seems ok. If THAT fails also, it's going on the bin. Not recommended I'm afraid.

Getting USB3 speeds now on my old HP server that came only with usb 2 ports. Works out-of-the-box on Ubuntu. Happy with my purchase.

3 x USB 3.0 type A ports and a Type C all powered of the PCI bus so no extra cabling to run from the PSU. The black backplate was the reason for this selection, meaning that the theme of the build wasn't ruined with a chrome stripe. Don't rely on the type C to charge you laptop though, this is more fore low power items and data transfer.

Nice card with the right features, unfortinately it caused my PC to behave oddly which resolved when I removed the card. The USB3 sockets are lateral and on my HP PC the adjacent backplane blanking plates fouled the USB sockets so it was impossible to plug anything in without removing the blanking plates on either side.

This thing was plug and play on my windows 11 MSI pc build. I didnt have to download any software or use the disc. Worked great in my half height slot.

Buona scheda facilissima da installare e configurare unica pecca è che non combacia perfettamente con il case magari se le porte fossero posizionate in orizzontale sarebbe stato più comodo ora non so se è un problema del mio case ma fatto sta che le altre schede che ho nel PC non mi danno questo problema comunque la consiglio fa ciò che deve

J'ai acheté cette carte d'extension afin de pouvoir brancher un adaptateur Multiport (HDMI, Ethernet LAN RJ45 et USB) via la sortie USB-C de la carte PCIeCe qui m'aurait permis d'utiliser mon clavier, ma souris mon écran et le réseau en RJ45 avec mon portable ou avec mon PC fixe.C'est juste dommage que le signal vidéo ne passe pas via l'USB-C de la carte PCIeLa souris, le clavier et le réseau fonctionnent parfaitement
