Humidor Humidifier Tubes, Crystal Humidity Tubes (3 CT)

I had a set of these that was over three years old. They were still working, but the lids were starting to get loose and after a whole bunch of travel (losing one, another got stepped on), I just decided to replace them. That really speaks to the longevity of this product. Three years, and the crystals were still working. These are really fantastic items, I use mine to turn old cigar boxes into humidors. These will save you a ton of money over using the disposable humidor packets.

So very much easier than recharging those awful little disks that came with my Humidor.I had let the maintenance lapse on a humidor full of low-end maduros (Sue me. I liked 'em) and the whole box was down to 48% humidity.Unless you like to see split cigars, you want to re-humidify them slowly. It's been about 2 months, and I've managed to bring them up to almost 65% with nary a split in sight. These tubes provide constant, predictable moisture, and are just now where they are needing a recharge. I have 4 Drymistat tubes in with about 250 sticks, which seems to be about perfect. I have a 5th Drymistat tube in with my pipe tobacco, and it seems to discharge faster due to contact with the tobacco. The tobacco stays borderline damp with this setup, so I may have to make a different arrangement to make it work better. I do know that you don't want loose tobacco touching the vented end of the tubes. It will leach moisture and gel out of the tubes.If I had these from the start, I probably wouldn't be having to recharge my cigars. I would have been so much easier to maintain.

This product essentially works the way it is designed to. It does help keep the humidity up, though I was hoping it would keep it a little bit higher in my backup humidor. I bought another one to see if two will get the humidity where I want it to be.

If you haven't used these before, give them a try. Make sure you only use distilled water. I use them in my travel humidors. Yes, one will take up a precious slot for a cigar, but these units will not mold up, and won't become useless like the foam stuff when it gets fully loaded with the glycol component of the typical fluids. Pay attention to the fill line. It's there for a reason. The slightly sad aspect is the crystals will deteriorate over a period of time. That period for me is years. They will last longer if you don't leave them out to dry completely. The crystals don't come back fully. So take care of the stuff that takes care of your cigars. It's much cheaper and more effective in the long run vs. the fluids.

This product does as advertised, keeping my humidor right around 70% RH. Keeps my cigars in perfect condition to smoke. Last a while too before refills. Obviously if I had more cigar or fewer humidifiers, I would have to refill more often, but these have last 3 months so far without a refill! Great product.

I've used the DryMistat humidifier tubes for several years. These are compact (the size of a corona size cigar) and are easy the refill. I'm glad I checked Amazon, because I had difficulty getting them from my regular source for cigars. I highly recommend these tubes.

These are great for maintaining humidity in the humidor without spilling water. These keep a constant humidity.

I like this product. I like its versatility. I use in my humidor; cool a dor; travel dor.; and Finger case. BUT...it is simply too fragile. I've had 3-4 break with minimal usage. Cannot justify or recommend additional/future purchase.
