ZOEKIM Enhanced Slide Safety for Mossberg 500 590 835 930 935 Shockwave Accessories

Installed on my Mossberg 500 today. Took all of 15 minutes. Had to use a Dremel cutting disc to cut a slot in the original tamper proof screw so that I could fit a flat head screw driver into the screw to remove it. That only took about 10 seconds. Mossberg for some reason uses a screw that allows easy screw install but it's slotted in a way that prevents it from being taken out. Once a larger slot was cut the screw I could get the screw driver blade into the screw and it came right out. Removed the old safety lever and had the new one on in just 2 minutes and I was done. Super easy. I also applied some blue Loctite to the new screw. It feels perfect now and I won't have to worry about the original plastic lever breaking like my buddies did. On the Mossberg 500 make sure the action is open and the safety it to the rear. This prevents the safety bar tab from falling into the gun when you remove the safety lever, if you don't you will be in for a long disassembly time to retrieve the safety bar and get it back into its proper position. Also, be careful when removing the old lever there is a very thin plate under the lever that holds every thing under the lever in position. There is a possibility that the detent ball and spring under the plate can shoot out and it will be lost. So just be mindful of this and go slow. Mine stayed in its proper position when I disassembled it. There IS a plate under there. It can stick to the bottom of the old lever and you may think you have none. Also, make sure the gun is setting in it's upright position when disassembling so that these parts do not fall out onto the ground. I also used some grease to hold the detent spring and ball into their position when assembling the new lever. Youtube has several good videos showing how this all works.

Works great on my Mossberg 500A. I wanted a larger switch for easier and quicker switching. Well made and solid metal. Thankfully it came with the ball bearing. I lost my original … needed an extra hand to help hold the safety block but it went well.

Used to replace on a 1983 police mossy 500. Old safety shattered. It’s a pain in the butt to install with the little BB and spring, but not too complicated. Just take your time and expect to drop a few F bombs. The safety feels good and works fine after installation.

My original safety slide fell apart. This one replaced the original perfectly and is much easier to operate.

Sometimes it works great, other times not so much. The inconsistency is frustrating. Hoping it gets better with use. Works for me.

This safety fits perfect and easy to install came with everything needed for installation.

When I added my scope to the slug barrel it was hard to reset the safety. The added tang makes it easier on and off.

Pretty nice upgrade, install was a bit difficult not mechanically but the small tiny bb and the spring under the original safety are very easy to lose. I dropped my bb, spring and even the screw metal parts into the hole of the safety location lmfao. Had to took the gun apart to find them. But once you have the steady hand it is pretty easy to install. Highly recommend to secure the gun on the work bench.
