How do you Clean the brush of the cobweb?

I don't know if this will help! I have a picket fence and I ran the brush back and forth after using it to clear the cobwebs. Probably running the brush back and forth over anything that's somewhat ruff will do the trick.

How soft are the cobweb head bristles?

They are not a soft bristle at all and I feel webs are not trapped as well as possibly something more expensive. That was my choice so I do not fault this company. I have a cobweb brush for the outside and the bristles are softer and capture the webs and debris better.

Can replacement heads be purchased and from where?

I have not checked on Amazon to see.

Is this good for cleaning short distances i.e. accessible windows & normal dusting (not high up)? And, how many head pieces does it come with?

Yes, it is good for close up and a slight distance due to the telescoping pole. It comes with 2 different head pieces; duster & cobweb cleaner (which works great on curtains too)
