BELPRO Multi-Use Support Dog Harness, Escape Proof No Pull Reflective Adjustable Vest with Durable Handle, Dog Walking Harness for Big/Active Dogs (Black, M)

Based upon the size chart I ordered a medium for my shiba, but when it arrived it was much heavier than her old step-in harness and even adjusted to be as small as possible, the chest was still a little loose. So I ordered a small and it was much lighter and more comfortable for her. I took comparison photos to show the size difference; the straps and buckles are actually wider on the medium in addition to the overall size being larger. I wish the small were a little longer, or that there was a “long dog” option, but other than that it fits securely and isn’t much heavier than her previous step-in harness, which was not escape-proof and which could cause her to choke if she pulled too hard.The quality is very nice, it seems solid and well-made. It helped with her pulling somewhat and seemed to distribute the weight across her chest better than her old harness. The chest and stomach straps are padded at the pressure points so it seems more comfortable than the nylon-strap style harnesses. Although I wouldn’t try to pick her up with the handle, it is a nice extra option for restraining her if something happens or even helping her into the car.Aesthetically I am really pleased as the color is a little more teal than the product photos and happens to match her collar and leash perfectly. I put off upgrading her harness because I’m not a fan of the “tactical” look that escape-proof harnesses have, but I think the color and light grey padding help in making this look more like a normal harness and not “my dog is on a rescue mission in the mountains and/or an uncontrollable hellbeast”.Both M and S shown in photos. My dog’s measurements: Neck 13” (snug, she wears a 14” collar); Chest 21”; Tummy 16.5”; Back length 16”. She’s about 22 lbs. Hope this helps others determine which size to buy!

This is the second BELPRO harness we have used for our pug-mix. The first one is over 2 years old and still going strong, but he has literally gone through every type of nature hazard possible and it is beginning to smell a little. Once you find the right length for the harness clips it fits perfectly and is so easy to put on and take off. The reason we tried this brand is because it stated it was much more difficult to get out this harness than normal 2 strap harnesses. Our dog Coconut had escaped multiple times from our first couple of harnesses and it did not matter how tight we made them. Since strapping this harness on he has had 0 breakouts or breakaways. I don't usually write reviews, but I really like this product and it is durable and easy to use. I really like the teal color that I chose and chose the same color the second time. It reflects at night and it is wonderful to carry him around. Everyone we know calls our dog "Suitcase" because I am always picking him up and carrying him around. Great quality, Great look and Great price.

We walk our two dogs at the same time, and they want to go opposite directions on their conjoined leash, which either results in the bigger one pulling the smaller one out of the harness, or one of them backing out of the harness. These are truly escape proof, they are very secure, and it's made walking them both a lot less stressful. They seem durable and are easy to put on. I will say the straps are hard to adjust, but the benefit is that they don't loosen on their own either.

It is a nice harness but a short-legged beagle can escape it. It has something to do with the shape of her body, I think! If I tighten it, she fusses with it and doesn't like it on. Going to keep trying different adjustments because she is quite the escape artist. Nothing seems to work with her and I really want this harness to work.After several weeks, I can no longer use the harness. It is a great harness but she has learned she can back out of this harness, even when I have fitted it snug to her body.

I bought this harness for my dog because he has slipped out of other ones that did not have the additional strap.I found this harness and bought it in green, it was too small but it worked enough to keep him from slipping through. I love the handle on top where I can pick him up like a suitcase.I got him a black harness in xl and yesterday was the first real walk I was able to have with my doggo. The harness straps behind his rib cage and under his chest. I was able to tighten it to be snug and comfy. He was secure and I was not afraid of him getting loose.Best product for the money. Happily purchase again!

Harnass is very heavy and I think it would fatigue my 20 lb Boston Terrier. It is very well made, but too heavy so I am returning it.

La mia golden retriever di 15 anni (29 kg) con problemi di artrosi, necessità di un sostegno "più concreto" durante le passeggiate ed ho finalmente trovato l'articolo giusto per lei. Il materiale è robusto, ed il colore (rosa) molto piacevole, è facile da infilare e la maniglia è super utile, lei si sente più sicura, io posso aiutarla nel salire/scendere le scale e ad alzarsi. Abbiamo preso la XL. Le fasce tutte con imbottitura e facilmente regolabili, non comprimono la pancia, e per chi è interessato alla taglia, ma poggiano sulla cassa toracica. La fascia triangolare anteriore è un'ottima soluzione per non comprimere il collo nel caso la debba sollevare. Il cane anziano, come tutti gli anziani, cammina lentamente e il fatto che questa pettorina sia riflettente, è un'ottima soluzione soprattutto quando si attraversano le strade. Arrivata puntualmente :-)
