Lupin III (Lupin the 3rd): Greatest Heists - The Classic Manga Collection

I bought this in April as my first introduction to the Lupin Manga, and It’s really fun to be honest! However, if you are expecting the same happy go lucky tone as the anime, you will experience a scary amount of whiplash. Manga Lupin is the type of guy you would NOT want to be around, especially if you’re a chick. Literally a freaking psychopath. Anyways, the hard cover is gorgeous and the art and stories are great. While the translations are good as well, they aren’t nearly as funny as the original Tokyopop translations (which is fine because these translations are still really freaking funny). Overall, pretty good! Have a nice day or night!

A collection of disconnected Lupin stories with different storytelling and illustration styles. Very interesting. Showcases what Lupin is capable of being.

This is a very good version of the series. It’s a hardcover with good binding, the pages are a good quality, the artwork looks great (comparable to previous publications of it). If you are a fan of the series and want a deluxe English version, this is a good one to get.

Ordered Friday morning and received early on Saturday morning. Item is in great condition, with hardback shell beautifully retained and binding is tight, and was able to get it cheaper than the listed price on other sites.I was a little worried at first cos the item image swapped to the Japanese version on my purchase history, but the product received was fully in English format.Highly recommended for any Lupin III fan!

Very happy to finally have some release of Lupin manga. It's very hard to get ahold of any tokyopop releases. I wish it were more, but it's nice to have as a long time Lupin fan. Hopefully one day there will be a full re-release.Print is good. Hardcover has a nice matte finish. Bound well. Worth the money if you really like Lupin or want to get into the manga.

Is a awesome read and a awesome hardcover collection

The stories are classic Lupin III, and some are really great (and definitely for mature readers).But the art of some stories is barely readable: the lines are often washed out with the background, the contrast is off, the grays are muddled, making it hard to understand what you're looking at. I'm not sure if it's because the originals were in color and the black-and-white conversion was botched; or because the originals were gone and they had to rely on poor scans. Either way, this is was a big downer for me.Caveat emptor.

Its just some old chapters of the original Lupin III manga by Monkey Punch. Manga lupin is nothing like the anime version, so it needs a bit of a content warning. Manga lupin is no stranger sexual violence, so some of the stuff here may be uncomfortable for people. That being said, this release is censored to a somewhat comical degree.
