This is a most unusual biography of a less well known fighter pilot of WW2. His pre war history is in itself unique and fascinating. His night fighter experiences are certainly different from the usual accounts. Well worth reading. I enjoyed it immensely.

I have read so many books about RAF men in WW2 but this is up there with the absolute best. A truly fascinating account of a pilot who is practically unknown today but should be remembered and this book does full justice. 100 per cent recommended.

This is a good storey of a great pilot and war hero, but it is told in rather a pedantic way, compared to others.
