This great toilet fill valve and flapper kit is super simple to install and works very efficiently!
Went to Menards where I had purchased this same kit about 10 years ago (still working great). Unfortunately they no longer stocked it (go figure). There were a few other manufacturers, but I was sold on Danco. So of course, I found it on Amazon. A great price for a great kit. Installed it in my other toilet and it works like a charm. Like my other toilet, it is quick to fill, saving on water. Installation is a snap. I highly recommend this kit.

Get rid of your old float valve!!!
Well made components and very easy to install. Very well engineered and extremely easy to adjust (without tools). The tank fill level can adjusted by turning a threaded linkage and the toilet bowl fill level can be adjusted by means of a quarter-throw lever-- very nice. No more grimy brass or plastic screws to see-saw adjust. It's quite evident that every part of this product was well thought out. Even the valve nut was engineered so that it could not be over tightened (a common mode of failure for leaks at the tank/valve union).Be sure, when installing the valve nut that the valve tower's seal is well seated into your tank's opening. If it's off, even by a little, you'll have a leak when the tank fills. A gentle "jiggle" (yes, that's the official plumbing term) while hand tightening the nut helps prevent possible leaks during installation. The instructions state, "1 - 3 audible clicks" until tight, however that would be fine if you toilet's tank is dimensionally perfect. Use your judgement as to how tight "hand tight" is so as to make sure it won't spring a leak.Fill times are dramatically faster than what I previously in my tanks (in fairness, they were 15 year old float valves). On a very old Cranada 6 LPF of almost 3 minutes this valve pulls a 44 second flush-to-fill time.I'm not quite sure why I didn't replace my toilet fill valves with this type of system before now. Thumbs up!UPDATE: 11 months on and it's doing great. The only problem is that the flapper chain fell off once-- easily remedied by a cable tie.UPDATE: +7 years on and it has finally shown signs of failure. The main valve body has developed a hairline crack when the valve is open/filling the tank. I will likely replace it which the same model or a FM brand but this exact model has skyrocketed in price here. That said, I am happy with the performance over +7 years considering the original price paid.

Great replacement
I needed a new float valve for my toilet since my old wouldn't shut off completely, so it would just trickle water down the overflow. I chose this one because it was cheap and offered so much.It fills the tank with great flow, which helps the flushing pressure, and the added jets keep stuff from settling at the bottom. The float is very simple to adjust with a couple quick turns. And, the best part, the rate of flow from the fill tube can be adjusted, from full blast to completely off; I set mine to a light flow and it fills the bowl perfectly without wasting water like other valves (and thus saving me cash).I got the whole thing installed in about 5 minutes with only a crescent wrench to remove the old valve; everything on this thing can be hand adjusted. Now, my toilet flushes with gusto, the leak is fixed and everything looks great. If you need a replacement float valve for your toilet, look no further! I'm considering getting one for my other toilet now since it should pay for itself over time with the water savings.
