The pictures are awesome, it uses good sweeteners
This book is put together really really well. The pictures are awesome, it uses good sweeteners, and she's organized the nutrients so that they're easily available. I'll try and update this once I've tried to make a few, but so far I'm very impressed.Update September 2016I've now used this book for several months, and I must say it's the best fat bombs I've had. I looked up several recipes online, but none of them compare to the eggnog truffles or my favorite the amaretto truffle. The pictures are absolutely amazing in this book. All in all, I highly recommend it.Pros:The pictures are amazingThe sweet fat bombs are excellentA very large % of the fat bombs are more than 100 calories per net carb (i calculated them all out)The flavors and consistency are much better than the ones i tried before the bookCons:The savory fat bombs that I've tried aren't very good, they'd taste better warm, but that defeats the purpose.I'd love to see a more standard breakdown of the nutrients - the net carbs are on a per item rather than having a standard of 100 calories or something like thatOther:You will want to get a kitchen scale if you don't have one. I find that I'm much more accurate when I weigh out the ingredients out rather than using measuring cups.I also highly recommend looking through all of them to find your favorites, I've found several that I wouldn't have tried without seeing the pictures, and they've been great. Conclusion:I love this book, and I've picked out all my favorites, and I've made several of them. I'll steer clear of the savory fat bombs myself, but you may enjoy them. Some of them are pretty involved but I've had fun making them, and they've helped my diet a lot.

This Cookbook has some fun recipes
I drooled as I looked through this well done cookbook. The photos are great, but what's more important to me is it was laid out well, organized cleanly and simply…and the ingredients were real food. The recipes are true to a healthy ketogenic diet, and I love that the main fat is coconut oil based. Even dairy was usually substitutable by using coconut milk, coconut cream and/or coconut butter.Another thing I really loved is Ms. Slajerova's chapter on making a variety of butters. But these are mostly non-dairy butters… they're nut butters, and seed butters, coconut and chocolate butters. Mmmm. There's also great recipes for making white chocolate, and delicious dark chocolate. Additionally, she includes chapters for drinkable fat-bombs, as well as sweet-bombs, and savory-bombs (pepperoni pizza fat-bomb? OMG).She includes the basic dietary/nutrition numbers, and my favorite, the percentage of fat/protein/carbs, so I don't have to calculate it on my own. :-) She also includes some handy tips, like how to make thick coconut cream and how to pasteurize raw eggs. This is a ketogenic cookbook I have really enjoyed. This book is a keeper, for sure!

Smart, Satisfying Recipes Made WITHOUT Caloric Sweeteners
The biggest, best and most important reason I love this book is because author Martina Slajerova doesn't use any caloric sweeteners in her fat bomb recipes. This puts her miles ahead and apart from other so-called sugar-free authors who rely on honey, maple syrup, agave syrup and other caloric sweetening agents. Instead, Slajerova uses erythritol, Swerve (an erythritol product) and liquid stevia as her sweetening agents, and even more -- she demonstrates intelligence and restraint in her use of them. Erythritol is a fermented sugar alcohol, and one of the least objectionable alternative options. All of this is very good news for the recipe user. Most of Slajerova's sweet recipes require a nut or seed butter as a primary ingredient. Making the butter is, of course, another cooking step, but then who cares. She also uses many paleo-friendly ingredients like almond flour, coconut flour and coconut oil. Depending on where you live, it may require a special trip to a health food store to get everything on her ingredients list. Many of her recipes are clever adaptations of comfort foods that look familiar and that have familiar flavors, and I really like being able to eat my fave foods but in a way that works better for me. And lastly, every single recipe has a beautiful picture and a full nutrition profile. I like this book so much I'm wishing I bought it in print instead of on my Kindle, and I'll probably end up buying a 2nd copy.

1 Star Deduction- Can't try a number of recipes as I do NOT own a food processor :(
Nicely laid out book (as the author always does) for some delicious Fat Bombs. I've had the book for 3 months now, and every recipe I've tried has been perfectly delicious. Each Fat Bomb includes a picture, ingredients needed, instructions for prep which also include very important info about the life span of each delicacy, and nutritional info. I've run across a number of books lately that don't even include the latter. Martina additionally goes the extra mile to suggest substitute ingredients for those wishing to avoid dairy products. 150 pages of Fat Bombs broken into Sweet, Frozen, Liquid, and Savory.Started eating Keto style (I do not see Keto as a diet but a form of eating) two years ago. The author is associated with the app I chose at the time, and I do get her email updates. I chose this book based on her reputation and my personal knowledge of how good what she shares tastes. Just wanted a new book here or there to change things up a little. This book is definitely worth the purchase. However, please let me set your expectation by stating, as my review title states, I cannot try many recipes I want to. Don't own a food processor, don't want one. At least if you are aware of this, then your expectations have been set.

Great book for Keto and buffet snacks, good for ceoliac and diabetics on low carb
Love the book's format, even Hubby is reading it. Loads of ideas for quick buffet snacks even (very kitsch looking) and great to make a few in advance and pop them in fridge.I have ceoliac members of family and they love pate and cheese etc, but cannot have the bread. Never thought of making pate balls and covering them with a garnish (could cover them with chopped chives (like stilton one in book). Normally I provide lettuce leaves for pate bites, but this makes things easier. Most ingredients people will have and there is a white chocolate receipe on page 34 that I want to try. Keto white chocolate may be a good option.Like it and will definately be using this entertaining family that cannot have bread and if doing a Keto diet. Also good inspiration to use up fridge items if you run out of bread.Thumbs up!

Awesome. Repetative, yes- and thank God for that.
A lot of good recipes. All of them appear to be reasonable as far as time commitment goes and it doesn't require any niche kitchen appliances or any obscure ingredients. One evaluation noted that there are strong similarities between recipes and I see that as being true- and thank God. I hate buying a recipe book that requires me to buy mass amounts of obscure items which are only good for one or two recipes. Sure, you have vast variety but it's not worth the strain on the pocketbook.I also truly appreciate the repetition because if I'm going to make home made chocolate... I want a million uses for it. Otherwise my effort seems wasted if I come out with 12 fat bombs and no uses for the remainder of the recipe... other than to eat my feelings.
