Does what it's says.
The media could not be loaded. Great product. Saved me time and did a great job thoroughly mixing the meat. I made 25# of deer bologna and 12# hot dogs. I had 12.5# in the mixer and it was pretty full. I agree with the 15# max. The tilt works but the mixture doesn't "dump" out that well. All in all a good investment for the meat shop.

Doesn't hold 80# it will mix 50# nicely
I LIKE THAT IT WILL COME APART FOR CLEANING. I USED A SOCKET AND A CORDLESS DRILL TO TURN THE MIXER. IF YOU HAVE TO CRANK IT BY HAND YOU BETTER BE SUPERMAN TO MIX A 50# BATCH. I THINK I WILL NEED TO STIFFEN IT UP IT IS CLEARLY NOT BUILT TO DO ANY HEAVY DUTY WORK, BUT FOR 380 BUCKS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. DOES IT WORK? YES IT DOES. WILL IT MIX 80#? NO. 50# IS THE MAX

Needed a mixer
other descriptions were sketchy but I took a chance. glad I did this is less expensive then most but I'd the same thing. Works amazing, eat too use and clean. And no sharp edges!!10* rating !!!

Torn on this item…?
I’m really kind of torn on how to review and rate… first off, it mixes meat it very well, and takes a lot of hassle out of mixing meats for sausage or burgers, or whatever.The first one I ordered I had to send back because some sort of seal in the gear mechanism had dried up and was crumbling and falling out.When I got the second one and started using it, meat gets caught up back in the gear areas and will not clean out. I have to disassemble it to clean it somehow before I use it again because I don’t want any sort of food-borne illnesses in my food.It does the job of mixing the meats and spices. But cleaning appears to be next to impossible potentially leading to contaminations of future batches of food.I don’t think I could recommend this item. There must be better versions on the market.

Locking mechanism
Locking mechanism doesn’t work and it’s too wobbly to use. Crank gets stuck sometimes and I used it few times only… overall not happy with my purchase…

This thing is way smaller than you probably are expecting
There's no way it will hold 20 pounds of anything. This is like half the size of my LEM 25 lb meat mixer.
