Amended review from 2 to 4 stars.If only proper instructions were attainable from the start this would not have been as painful. As a last ditched attempt after around the 30th time of resetting etc over the course of a few days, I removed the Alexa skill for Lifx, deleted the bulb from the lifx cloud account, did the off-on five times at the switch to reset the bulb and then the only thing I did differently during re-pairing was that I forced my cell phone onto the 2.4Ghz wifi during the pairing process. Once the lightbulb was paired I reinstalled the Lifx Alexa skill, reconnected my phone to my 5Ghz wifi and the bulb has now been connected for three days straight. (It wouldn't stay connected for more than a couple of hours before).Original review.Bulb itself is good and functionality awesome WHEN connected, the issue is keeping it connected to the cloud. Despite repeated resets, removing device, re-adding device, separating the frequency on my router and ensuring it is connected to the 2.4Ghz, it will NOT stay connected to the cloud for more than a few hours therefore rendering it not only infuriating but useless with Alexa; sending back.

In summary.Great price and value.A few teething problems. Alexa intergration is really good and quick. But LIFX app is a bit of an issue. However for most of my bulbs, I don't need to make use of all LIFX's app controls, So with that, I am pleased I made the purchase and able to pair 2/3 bulbs with Alexa. I will make further purchases for a color wheel bulb and strip lights in the near future from LIFX as I don't have an issue with their products. I have no idea why the reviews are so bad. It's not the product from my experience.Review in detail below:DAY ONE OF USING THE PRODUCT.I bought three bulbs on offer.-First bulb, connected to Alexa straight away. Jobs a goodun. The LIFX app, didn't connect to it. Nevermind as we will control the bulb with Alexa anyway.-Second bulb, connected to Alexa straight away, then I connected it though a second restart to the LIFX app wifi successfully. Alexa app then stated that the second bulb is non responsive. Not sure why or how as the bulb is working. Maybe a trip up? but I cannot seem to regain connection through Alexa. I can control this via the LIFX app still.-Third bulb, connected through to Alexa and the LIFX app successfully. However I cannot seem to link the bulb through the WiFi on LIFX app and im worried that doing this will trip the bulb and become like the second bulb (just my brain thinking this, not an accurate prediction). But again, it's not the end of the world as I have Alexa to control it.The lightThe box says white. I'd say it's a warm white but there you go. It brightens and it dims.. perfect.Systems and connection.If your not tech savy.. then get someone who is to help. But a beginner tech savvy would figure this out. So I don't know why the reviews are so low for 2020. I personally cannot agree with it. If LIFX or Alexa have made some adjustments, then they have accomplished and moved on from 2020 reviews. So don't let these put you off buying LIFX productsI will update this review once 1 month has passed and comment on the durability.

Pas assez de recul pour la longévité.Fonctionne parfaitement avec Alexa sans avoir besoin de hub propriétaire (un gros plus).Pour l'instalation:1/ télécharger l'app LIFX et installer l'ampoule, c'est à dire configurer le wifi (2,4 ghz uniquement), la renommer et l'inclure dans un groupe si besoin.Vous devez créer un compte LIFX depuis l'app et vérifier votre adresse mail depuis un mail envoyé par LIFX (important !!!).2/ Sur l'appli alexa, activer la skill "lifx maison connectée" (point très important !).Et c'est tout, l'ampoule est maintenant appairée avec alexa.Pour allumer/éteindre l'ampoule, demander "alexa allume/éteint lampe -nom que vous avez donné dans l'app lifx-"Vous pouvez aussi demander à alexa de varier l'intensité ou de modifier la couleur (si ampoule compatible).# si alexa vous répond que l'ampoule n'est pas joignable et que vous devez vérifier son alimentation et sa configuration wifi:Rendez vous dans l'app LIFX, vous verrez une notification pour mise à jour du micro-logiciel.Acceptez cette mise à jour, une minute plus tard, l'ampoule est de nouveau fonctionelle sous alexa.C'est tout.C'est simple.
