This unit is small enough to fit easily on a kitchen worktop. It comes with an attachment that allows for sealing external containers (I have only used it to re-seal Kilner jars to date) and am very pleased with it. I see no problems with operating it for sealing in food bags.

I bought this directly from Sous Vid Tools as they had an offer on. I have had a regular vacuum sealer for a few years and it was on its last legs. I have wanted a chamber sealer for so long but always balked at the price. Anyway, my wise daughter said you only live once, so I bit the bullet. What can I say. How have I lived without one for so long. It is so easy to use and does a really good seal. It is a big bit of kit but I have made room for it on my counter because I will use it so often. My favourite kitchen gadget so far (and I have loads!)

UPDATE: Had to return this after only 6 months of light use as it stopped working properly. The vacuum only lasted minutes and even the sealing strip only worked in part. Returning for a refund….shame as I’d really liked it …when it worked.This is a brilliant machine which is very easy to use. I had bought it mainly for vacuum sealing veg/ fruit from my greenhouse but also for storing batch cooking ( works great sealing soups too). It is bulky but I have it sitting out on my worktop. it does need a bit of clearance room for the lid to open though. I have used it to both vacuum seal/ seal lots of different bags with complete success. This was the FIFTH make of this type of machine that I’d bought from Amazon but is the ONLY one that worked. They ranged in price from £45 to £250 but we’re all useless and took a LOT of time/ effort to return. In short this is a fantastic machine which is well worth the money .

The Suction power is one off the best used and a fantastic price.
