This book came with a online mock test that was really helpful for me focus on my studying.The book it self (and also the IAPP one) is pretty short, but the exam may give you case that you are not familiar with and want you to interpolate from the knowledge provided in the book.The online mock test help you with this second part.Also if you already had your CSIM cert. there was some overlap in IS management that you can leverage.Good luck!

This is a great supplement to the official textbook which has gaps, but some of the concepts seem to be more IT function related rather than relevant to the actual topics raised in the exam, and the author went off on a tangent a bit. All together good resource to have tho

This book has pretty much been my mini work bible - I have been using it in preparation of the CIPM certification, but also as a tool to use while building up our organization's Data Privacy Program. Highly recommend this resource for those looking to take the CIPM exam AND those who are just looking for a great resource on data privacy. It's super user friendly and easy to read, written in a way that makes things click.

This was a great resource for the CIPM exam. I passed but could not have done so without this book. Test questions were very helpful as well. In addition as others have said, this is a good guide for daily privacy practice management and I will be using it often.

After suffering through several terrible test prep guides, I finally found a serious book written by a pro, that includes access to great practice test resources. VERY well-written and readable, with up-to-date information and lots of extra tips and notes as you read in the form of callouts and textboxes. The appendices are excellent too. Start with the basic IAPP resources, and then get this book!

I have yet to take the CIPM exam but I already enjoy the layout, structure, and information in this book. The practice questions are great too but, it lacks long fact patterns which is unfortunate, as the exam will most likely have this.Edit: 9/26/2021 - I passed the exam! This book was essential.
