Education starts at home. This book is an EXCELLENT reinforcer to the book, Because of Winn Dixie. My son read it in class but I felt like his comprehension was lacking. This book consist of many different engaging activities followed by reading comprehension questions. He is a full remote student and has a lot of breaks in his day so I love having this book as an additional resource to help fill in the gap in his day adn to challenge his literal and inferential comprehension. I highly recommend.

I've used several different literature guides with different books and this one is very thorough. Great activities especially for today's emphasis on making connections to the literature. The comprehensive assessment is not the best (as it's not as detailed as some) but it's okay. The guided reading and activities make up for it. I will buy more from this company for other novels in the future.
