The pen may look very plain but it writes beautifully. I would pick this Calissima pen over my Lamy. You can use the 1.5 as a heading for journaling or to write your paragraphs. If you love writing in cursive, I think this pen will make it even more beautiful and will add character. It adds a vintage - feel to mine and makes my writing experience much more enjoyable.

This pen would not write smoothly. It was rough and it didn't release the ink well. I have pens that are less than $10 that write better than this. Not worth the money.

I have become hooked on Schneider pens. Their regular pen nibs write like a broad. This stub nib will let me write more like a fine-medium. It is very comfortable to write with. The design is elegant. The price was perfect. I now have two of these pens and thinking about a third. I highly recommend especially if you want you writing to look better without much added effort.
