It's big, it's heavy, it's one solid piece of granite. If that's what you want in a mortar, look no further. It's a seriously impressive tool, and if you use mortars to make stuff like Thai food, you're gonna love this monster.Needs to be noted that these are handmade - even the bowl carving is done by hand with a power tool.So there are imperfections in everything from the glaze to the carving. Only machines can churn out a perfect cutting every time, but if that's ok with you, each one is unique in its own way

Rock solid
We needed something bigger and a bit more solid than the wood one that we have. This grinds so much better than what we had before. Great grip. Good weight. Easy motions. Happy so far.

Discolored and not matched, limited refund.
I received a Mortar with discoloration in the stone and with a Pestle not matching color or style at all. I returned it but had to pay all my self ending up getting a $80 refund on a $120 purchase. That is not right and I will never shop there again.
