Wonderful help for my elderly mother with decreasing eyesight. Brightness is just right. She preferred to turn off the optional evening dimming feature. Thus keeping it bright. She can see it well from across the room. She’s only had it a few days and already she is checking it to stay oriented to the day of the week. This is a very helpful and appreciated product. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Wonderful clock for an older person the numbers and what letters are large and it tells me what day of the week it is what month it is what day of the month because my memory is not great anymore and it’s just a wonderful clock for me

I bought the 12 inch clock for my mother, who has dementia and is severely vision impaired-impaired. It is easy to set up and easy for her to read, and helps her a bit with her disorientation since it can show the day, month, time, and time of day (morning, evening, etc). Though costly, it is worth it! There is a small internal battery that keeps track of the time when the device is unplugged (though the screen is blank), so I don’t need to reset it. After owning it for 11 months part of the screen went blank. The company honored it’s one year warranty and sent me a new one. I hope that eventually they can design a clock like this that runs completely on batteries and does not need to stay plugged in ; it would be better to have one less electrical cord and make the clock more mobile.

Love the size and simplicity, however, I’m disappointed in the inability to adjust the volume of the alarms. They are incredibly loud and jarring for those who have no hearing challenges. Other than that one feature, the clock has been great.

I bought this clock as a Christmas gift for my 88 year old mom, who has both dementia and Parkinson's. She is very hard to buy for and she hates change! BUT since she was complaining about the 15+ year old clock she had, and is constantly asking about what day/month it is, I figured this clock was possibly a great solution! So far so good! All the information on the clock is very easy to read from across the room and Mom seems very happy with it so far!

My husband has vascular dementia and he gets very confused about what day and time it is. A family member who is a social worker, recommended a clock like this and I was fortunate to find this one. It is perfect! It is clear, and easy to read. It gives all the information he needs to get through the day. He now will look at it and feel good about waking up knowing what day and month it is. I liked being able to pick out the frame so it blends in with his room decor. I don’t want his room to look like a hospital room, and this really looks nice. I will get another one for our family room where he spends a lot of time. It looks nice, has everything he needs to keep him aware of what day and date it is, and helps keep him on task all day. I actually have had days when I have had to look at it to keep me on task too. I highly recommend it .

We purchased this clock for my 96 year old mother-in-law. She was beginning to get confused about what day it was, and whether it was AM or PM. We wanted to get her a clock that she could easily read day or night, and would clearly spell out the time, date, and weekday. The clock did this wonderfully, as well as also indicting (spelling out) "afternoon", or "morning", "before dawn", etc. Unfortunately she passed away, only having the clock for a short time, so we ended up getting the clock back. I had, in the past, looked for a digital clock to be used in our family room, next to the TV. I wanted something that looked half decent, and was easy to read in the light as well as in the dark. We never found one we really liked, as the ones we tried were too bright, or didn't have a light, and always looked like old computer screen lettering. To we tried the Day Clock. It was great. First of all, it looks PERFECT. It's almost hard to believe that the clock screen contents change. It looks like its been painted professionally onto the screen. Secondly, it lights up, and is easy to read, and at night it dims so that it's still easy to read the clock, without distracting from the TV. It's also easy to adjust. The settings are both simple, and intuitive. My wife (who rarely tries to change electronic clock times) easily changed the time, for Daylight Savings Time. This highlights the only thing that I can think of to perhaps make this clock better - a Daylight Savings Time change button. Another nicety, is that it still keeps the time accurately, and when the power goes off, it will continue at the correct time when power is restored. So, as you may have gathered, we are very happy with this clock, and highly recommend it - for seniors, and for the rest of us.

Ich hatte das Produkt bestellt für meine Oma, sie ist 91 und leicht dement, aber inbesondere bringt sie Tage und Zeiten durcheinander. Der Artikel kam dank Versand durch Amazon gewohnt schnell an. Die Verpackung wirkt hochwertig, durch genügend Polsterung kam die Uhr unfallfrei an. Auspacken, Stecker rein und los gehts. Die Einstellungen sind sehr einfach machbar. Grundprinzip: einmal auf den Menü Knopf auf der Rückseite des Gerätes drücken und mit "hoch"/"runter" durch die verschiedenen Einstellungen scrollen und mit "rechts"/"links" die Werte entsprechend einstellen. Standardmäßig war bei mir Englisch eingestellt, das war aber sehr einfach auf deutsch umstellbar. Die Display ist ausreichend groß und auch für schlechte Augen sehr gut lesbar. Man kann das Display durch eine Timer-Dimmfunktion für einen definierbaren Zeitraum abdunkeln. Ideal, falls die Ihr auf dem Nachttisch steht. Weiterhin können verschiedene Termine / Erinnerungen wie Medizin- oder Essenseinnahme programmiert werden. Zur gewünschten Zeit ertönt ein Alarm mit der entsprechenden Meldung. Eine weitere gute Hilfe für vergessliche Menschen. Es sei noch angemerkt, dass der Verkäufer sich sehr um seine Kunden kümmert: In der Verpackung lag ein Feedback Zettel bei, ebenso wurde mehrfach bezüglich der Zufriedenheit nachgefragt.
