Give it a try - you might be surprised
I was a little sceptical about the benefits of improved power supplies but gave this a go because of the many reports of audible differences. Add me to the list of the converted. This adds a noticeable - ie not subtle - lift to the sound from a Primare NP5. Bass is richer and more controlled, highs have more precision and overall detail is enhanced. One of the best - and most surprising - upgrades I’ve made to my hifi.

Ifi elite 5volt
Works great and lowers noise floor to digital audio converter (DAC) . A better quality switching power supply.

A clear upgrade for an iFi Zen Signature
This isn't much of a review. I had been using an iFi Zen Signature One, and there was a particular track (William Orbit, The Painter Album, "No other world") that seems only to be available via streaming, and there is a voice-over which always sounded a bit incomprehensible at the start. A friend, who is a hifi aficionado suggested the wall-wart power supply could be generating noise. This replacement power supply is a lot of money, but rather reluctantly, I thought I would give it a try as there was a favourable returns policy. I plugged it in, selected the track, and listened. I have never considered putting the wall wart back, because the change was so obvious. The system it is feeding is a line only input, Musical Fidelity M6 500, and the speakers are Quadral Chrome 8's and the combination is very revealing. The amp could melt the speakers, but that much power means the amp has a lot of grip on the speakers, so it sounds as though what you get is what is presented. So, the result I got was unexpectedly good, but the power supply is not cheap.

Improves sound quality
I have a minidsp studio in my system that I use to manage room correction and crossover settings for music that I stream from a local server or Tidal. Reviews were mixed about whether power upgrades made any difference to the minidsp,, but I thought I would try with an Ifi power plug. I was so impressed I decided to try the power elite. This added even more improvement making the sound fuller and tighter. Base was deeper, the top end clearer. It doesn’t make sense that a power supply can affect a digital signal, but it does in my system. If I had other components with a switch mode power supply I wouldn’t hesitate to swap in a power elite.

Great upgrade for little money
I have been trying this with my Dynavector P75 Mk 4 phono stage (12v) and it elevates sound quality very clearly with more detail and improved soundstage. Dynavector state that there's no need for a 'better' PSU, but I think they are mistaken as this clearly does impact positively on sound quality. Great value as usual from iFi.

Audio upgrade for Chord Qutest DAC
Bought as upgrade for Chord Qutest DAC. The Qutest sounds terrific straight out of the box with the supplied switch mode power supply but this device is a huge improvement over the supplied PSU. Yes, it is expensive and a lot of people probably would scoff at spending that amount, but it certainly improves the clarity and soundstage of my Qutest in my system. I used a Russ Andrews SuperKord to connect the iFi Power Elite to the mains. I didn't try it with a cheaper mains cable.

One of the best power supplies out there.
I have used ifi products now since they started and this new top of the range power supply, mine is the 5v 5a version is absolutely stunning when used to either feed my streamer or the USB output to my Dac via an ifi idefender. Superb and highly recommend

The elite is very very good, i highly recommend it
Used for my chord qutest, replacing an ifi ipower x. I have now tried the chord wall wart, anker battery pack, mcru linear, ipower x and finally the ifi ipower elite. The elite has won in my system, I think its very good :) I am using a furutech power cable with it. The mcru Lps is also very good.
