Super Climbing Guide!
An excellent concise guide to Tour de France climbs organized by region. A bit of Tour history and color, route highlights, with difficulty and gradients. Itβs also a small book you can carry with you. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed reading about the famous climbs of the Tour de France. This little books gives the reader a good idea of the nature of the climbs. I will refer to this book often while watching the Tour.

get some experience and learn what 17km of 10% might actually feel like before you try it
Fabulous for planning rides or just arm-chair cycling. Makes the gradients look friendly so before committing yourself to a ride, get some experience and learn what 17km of 10% might actually feel like before you try it. Inspirational and useful to carry in the van while hunting round France for great climbs. This review is written by a lass who attempted Ventoux on a Brompton whilst on chemo. Mad as a hatter.

Great inspirational series
I love this series. They enable me to locate climbs in areas I am visiting. They may not be the locals favorite climbs but they still give a flavour of what is there and some idea of what to expect. They are obviously aimed at those who like to race up these inclines but I find them an inspiration to cycle and something to tick off as being done. Still working on completing all of them.

Good book, shame about the pics.
Half the book is excellent and full of useful information. The other half is an astonishing waste of space unless you have a special interest in tarmac and road markings etc. For goodness sake the climbs of the T d F have a superabundance of exquisite views; who chose these?Nevertheless go ahead and buy it and enjoy the odd numbered pages.

brilliant little guide!
Brilliant little book! Fantastic reference guide and we'll written and presented. It can't go mad detail wise, but that's due to its small size. But it's size is what makes it ideal, just pop it in your bag and go. Just come back from alp d'huez and it made me go out and ride more of the cols nearby. Recommended!

Good handy guide
This is a good handy guide to a lot of the cols used in the Tour de France. So if you are out and about in a France and you have not yet bought a guide to the cols this is probably the best but not definitive.
