Michelin has cheapen the quality of their lower cost tires.
I bought a pair of the Michelin snow back in 2016. Interestingly, they were made in Russia. I consider them an excellent tire compatible in quietness and handling to a non-snow radial. The new ones I bought for last winter are not even close to the quality of the older ones. When the car sits for more than a day they develop a thump that take a few minutes to disappear. Thereās also some oversteer in the handling and are much noisier. The Hancock snows I bought for my Honda some years back were a far better tire. Apparently Michelin has decided cheapen their lower cost tires now that they discontinued their premium versions for 16 inch rims
