Excellent take on David’s early life as a cricketer and then umpire, coach and finally commentator with his take on all the worlds best cricketers. A bit heavy going in a couple of chapters but generally excellent

This is a nostalgic diary of favourite people and events. Light hearted and easy on the eye I read it in a couple of days. Although it brought back pleasant memories of cricketers in an age when I was a lad, I felt it rather lacked substantial weight as a cricketing history. But perhaps that was never the intention.

Relax with some great stories and tales. Interesting, funny and charming in parts.
