New Rocks! Says it all really...
What can I say... Ther is a reason most famous metal musicians wear these boots and it's not just for the name. It's for the unique look, the master craftsmanship that goes into every part of each pair, how they feel.... I often describe them to friends as the Nike air force of the boot world! They litterly feel like you are walking on the moon while making you feel 7 foot tall! These are worth every penny. I know it's a lot for boots but every pair is completely different from any other due to the soles. Every part is hand made and assembled. New Rock have been around a long time and show no sign of ever going away!

Poorer Quality
Up date to first review. Do not buy these boots…I have worn the boot twice since my purchase and there is a problem with the boots. It feels as if the foot bed has broken. Leaving a lump in the boot. I am very disappointed. But more disappointed with the seller who has not been helpful. Only a 60day warranty… that’s not very good on an item that costs close to £200. I first brought New Rock Boots back in the 1997…Those boots last 15 years of hard ware. Non of the boots I have brought since my first pair have last as well nor been as good quality.I have worn this boots only once so far, and we shall see how they ware.

Wearer of New Rock since 1994.
As the title suggests I bought my first pair in 1994, I had them until 2016 and I believe my ex girlfriend still wears that pair to this day. (I miss that pair which is a huge reason I bought these)I had some knee high boots that finally gave up last year (2023) that I bought around 2000. I hammered those things. I also have a pair of shoes.I would give this pair 5 if one of the lace holders hadn't snapped when tightening the boots. Which is hugely disappointing. I'll glue or solder it but for 200 pounds that's a let down. Maybe I pulled too hard but my old pair never had this issue (photo included). A return seems a lot of effort for something I can sort myself.Other than that they seem top notch and maybe it's a one off issue. They are still beautiful looking boots. The fit felt slightly oversized compared to my originals.I just put some insoles in and fixed that issue.Pretty comfortable over all. A warning for first time wearers they may need some breaking in and they will feel very heavy.I have noticed some differences from the originals I had. No longer is there a metal logo in the sole. I actually see this as a positive and it would get caked up with dirt and could clink on steps, so the plain rubber imo is better. The soles now have a little extra grip and it makes a ton of difference. The rubber is sleeker and darker and aesthetically more pleasing imo.The metal work is less silver and more a gunmetal colour which I honestly prefer.I noticed the metal work is attached now with Hexx bolts rather than rivets which should make repair a lot easier (not that repair is likely to be needed)The leather seems solid as ever and the work is beautifully done.I really didn't fancy a trip to Camden which is where I got previous pairs. so went for them here. Maybe a mistake as you can't try them or pick the pair out.I still may order some plain black or the grey flames when my size is in Stock.Overall I stand by the brand. Some changes are definitely an improvement and I believe the lace issue is partly my fault and maybe a one of fault which can happen with any brand.
