Terrific 5 step setting brightness for different density paper. Doesn’t get hot. Portable, re-charging option is super handy. Sturdier than competing brands. Thicker body at the top so, there is a slight downward slant which makes it more comfortable as a drawing surface than the completely flat ones. I took off one star because the magnets don’t stick well. I bought some stronger (super strong) magnets but still would not trust them to hold two pieces of paper in place. It’s not the magnets fault. The ones that were included can easily hold two pieces of paper on the fridge. There is just not enough metal in the light table or the plastic between is too thick. So, just have to continue using tape.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I did not know I needed this in my life, but yes! My favorite things are that it can charge and does not have to be plugged into to use and then the brightness adjusts. There are 5 settings of brightness, and I almost always use the lowest setting to not hurt my eyes. I asked my husband to make one for me, and we are so glad we just ordered this instead. I do keep it in the original box because of the plastic insert for protection. It is easy to get in/out of the box.

I like the size and brightness of this product.

I bought this for my daughter’s love of art. She uses this thing religiously and it has helped her with her drawing and shading. The little magnets come in handy hold the paper on the pad. I like that the pad is rechargeable and she doesn’t have to stay stationery when she’s drawing. The light gets super bright as well. I love it and she loves it as well!

My previous light pad was a total waste, since I seldom could get it to work. So I pitched it and spent only slightly more money to get this new light pad. To my delight, it works like a charm! Unlike other light boxes, it is even bright enough to work in a well lit room. The on/off button on the side is preferable to the touch button switch found on other light boxes, because it prevents accidental powering on or off. Best of all is the rechargeable feature: It makes the unit transportable and easy to use anywhere. I brought mine with me to my Watercolor class, and it was a hit! My friends are already placing their orders.

I've been using this light board for about 2 months now and overall I'm very happy with it. I gave it a full charge when I first received it and haven't had to re-charge it since despite many hours of use. I like the shape of it and the light levels that it offers, overall it is very user-friendly/ergonomic.The only flaw is the magnets, they are weak so they fall off easily (I've already lost one completely despite being really careful), they do not hold papers in place well at all, and they stick up so they get in the way of my hands while I'm drawing. I recommend getting some big sturdy clips and using those instead.

I'm an art teacher and I needed some light tablets so that students can trace their drawings and designs for projects as needed. I also needed something that didn't have to be plugged in while in use, and I wanted them to be lightweight. These tablets do everything I want them to do. I love the adjustable brightness and how lightweight they are. And they charge fairly quickly. I can't say how long the charge lasts really, because the kids have only used them for a couple of class periods, so about 2 hours total. They are still charged though--even though they've been sitting unused since late November/early December. I bought six of these--and since I paid for them myself, I needed the best value for my money. I am VERY pleased with these and would definitely buy them again if I decide I need more.

I really like this unit. I bought it for backlighting old photographic negatives and slides so I can re photograph them to store them digitally. I believe it's going to be just right for this task.The unit emits a beautiful (imho) cool white light, which is very bright and strong on the highest setting. It would be great for tracing artwork, but as a photographer I can also imagine it used in place of a small softbox for photography. It's that nice. As for battery life, I haven't tested the full five hours specified , but I have seen it run on the brightest setting over three hours with no sign of dimming.It seems a very nice unit for what it is.

I have one of the lower priced ones and it’s not great. So I’ve been thinking about buying one of the “art store” ones at a price tag of $200.I’m so glad I gave this one a try first! It’s awesome! Everything works fantastic… holds a charge for hours. It’s so bright on the 5th setting that I can even see my drawings through very thick 300gm watercolour paper.I erase a lot when sketching which takes the seal off of watercolour paper…. Using this I can sketch and erase to my heart’s content and then trace my final drawings onto my very expensive watercolour paper…This light board is excellent… stand up extremely well to hours and hours of daily use by an artistHighly recommend

I researched A LOT of different "lightboxes" before deciding on this one, and I am 1000% happy with this purchase. Firstly, and most importantly, it's one of the only affordable ones I could find that is rechargeable -- a lot of the others needed to be plugged in while using which is a huge pain. I fully charged mine before 1st use (which maybe took about 3 hours), and I used it on a pretty consistent basis for the next 2 weeks before it needed another charge! I've had it for several months now, I use it often, and I would say on average I still only need to recharge it once every few weeks, it's amazing. It has 5 different light settings, and honestly, the brightest setting is so bright I barely use it (which probably helps with battery life). It is extremely lightweight, very portable. My one and only tiny complaint is that the magnets that come with it aren't super strong for holding layers of paper, but that is totally not a deal breaker, I don't even use the magnets half the time. Highly recommend this product!

I love that there is 5 settings and not just 3. I also like the fact that u can charge and u don't end up tripping on the cord and that the cord connection will not fall out after a period of time. I found the light was an excellent price very affordable.It could be a bit thinner as I use clips but they pop off because of the thickness.. Overall an excellent light and would recommend it to anyone that does diamond painting. The letters and numbers are so much clearer especially on the 5th setting.

I got one for my mom and one for myself. It is perfect her Diamond painting. And I use it to trace photos of flowers to color and paint! It’s a practical size and the fact that it is cordless is so useful! My mom uses it in her lazy-boy chair, on a small tv table and she can work on her painting in the evening. Very happy customers! 😃
