We have a VERY destructive Bully American Bulldog. He will eat anything in site if left unattended. Well... we HAVE to work, and we have to sleep.. Yes, he has a kennel.. but due to his recent 'cutting of the balls'... the kennel didn't work w/ his cone. So, to the back room he went to hang out with his bro when we weren't supervising his behavior. He did really well!! ... oh.. yeah.. of COURSE he did!! He had a cone on! Once the cone came off... the cabinets/ drawers/ and wall were eaten. This is actually an ongoing problem w/ this boy from day one. He's ALWAYS love to eat non dog items.. Other chew sprays have somewhat helped.. but would need to reapply after an hour.. or he's back at it.. Think - destroyed beds.. our pumpkins on the front stoop.. Anything and everything.. Bought the PRO Anti Chew Spray for dogs and puppies.. and let me tell you.. this stuff is BRILLIANT!!! I think it is seriously saving us from literally being eaten out of house and home! And yuck! I got some on my hands.. The bitter taste is TERRIBLE!! So I can see why it is helping! I don't have to reapply as much and he doesn't seem interested in the items he used to gravitate to! The customer service is fantastic.. even offering free help w/ training your pup/dog to curtail this nasty habit! HIGHLY recommend for those strong chewers in your house!!

My 9 month old puppy loved this so much he finished chewing up my new sofa! Didn't work in any way shape of form. He's actually chewed up more stuff since I sprayed it.

Oh my dog... This stuff tastes so bad. Highly recommend not trying it. So let me start out by saying before I gave this to my dog, my roommate and I decided - if we are going to put this on the crap Jack, an adorable Boxer Shepherd, chews on, we should try it first. I mean, it's like when you buy a taser, you need to know what it feels like to get tasted first. Right???? So we liberally sprayed a plastic bottle. I licked one side, she licked the other side. We looked at each other imminently asked if either of us felt anything. NOPE I said, "Magda, we need to returrrrrnnnnnnn AWWW...." (some expletives might have been screamed at this point) and we tasted it. I am highly impressed with how it took both of us to the ground. The back of our throats had the worst taste we had ever experienced. Our other roommate got home to find the two of us dying on the kitchen floor. MEANWHILE! Jack got a hold of the water bottle WHILE WE WERE LITERALLY DYING and couldn't stop licking the damn thing. My dog is a demon. It's fine. I still love him. This product SHOULD work for a normal dog. Jack is not normal and I'm not normal. Hence why he is my son and I am his human. **LIFE-HACK**: If you suspect your roommate has been eating your food. This stuff works!! I'm seeing a lot of reviews saying this stuff doesn't work but that's not the case for my pup! I have a 11 week old German Shepherd puppy who loves to chew on EVERYTHING!!! Of course shoes are his personal delicacy but he also loves rugs, furniture, cords & anything else he can get his paws on. He has a fun new game where he grabs an item he know he shouldn't have and then runs as fast as he can around the house. Other past times include chewing on furniture while staring at me. I bought this stuff to help keep me from going insane. It is extremely potent! I sprayed it on shoes and then put them on the floor so he could test it out. He picked up the shoe and immediately dropped it 😈 so far it seems to keep him off of all the usual temptations. The only downfall to this product is that it is extremely potent. It lingers in the air and you can taste it in your mouth when you breath.. it doesnt have the worst smell but it certainly isn't something I would use as an air freshener. The biggest con to this product is tasting it in the air after immediate use. The flipside of this is that I think its strong enough to where he can smell it on the items I've sprayed it on so he doesn't even try to chew them. Luckily this is just a training aid and not something you will need to use forever. To have a product gross enough to deter a puppy I suspect it will need to be as strong as this stuff. I'll take the gross after taste effect over a lifetime of ripped up shoes and furniture any day. My suggestion would be to thoroughly spray your shoes outside and let it sit for 10 minutes before bringing them back in. For furniture maybe try leaving a window open and use a face mask while spraying lol.

I've got two black labs, brother and sister, now about 11 months old. And man, do they like to chew. Anything, anywhere, all the time. There is a lot they've destroyed, including countless shoes, some favorite throw pillows, towels, blankets, a couple of books, and a lot of baseboards. They even had a go at the legs of a couple of dining room tables. We got this stuff and have applied it liberally to active chew areas...and they keep chewing. Don't know if they actually like the smell and/or taste, or if it's just not strong enough to get them to stop. All we know is that the money invested in this product was money wasted. The spray does not stain. It doesn't smell that bad going on, not at all. It's not sticky and it doesn't seep into or linger on the hands; it washes out quickly and easily. We have come to a solution for the chewing, one that is fully effective but is unlikely to get wide public commercial use: a base of WD-40 covered with hot pepper flakes and hot spices. This has proven to be fully effective on the chewing, but they just keep finding new things to chew on. Bottom Line: your results may vary, depending on your dog and his/her tastes. In our experience, this product did not work at all.

The smell is good for humans but not quite sure how the puppy reacts. Sometimes she keeps away other times she still wants to eat my toes!

First problem - Bull Terrier When my dog licks the spray while I'm putting it on then there is going to be a problem. He did stop chewing the deck a couple of times and looked like he had tasted something bad but depending on his mood to which he would keep going or walk away. Success rate 30%.
