One of the best books I've ever read.
The book was delivered this evening and I've already finished it. The last time this happened was with Harry Potter and thats saying something when it has been one of my favourite books for years. I've been following Brian for a couple of years and what always struck me was his integrity, honesty and his work ethic so as soon as the book was released I had my order placed and it didn't disappoint. In an industry saturated with people obsessed with self image Brian is a breath of fresh air bringing a platform thats refreshing with his attitude towards the whole person not just the body. Writing something so technical in a manner that is easy to understand is no easy feat but Brian achieved it in this book with ease.I've always loved books with the theme of mindset and mental well being and this will only further my efforts in improving in that area. This book is the perfect gateway into the world of philosophy and mind-set. Its chapters get you thinking of the best version of yourself and your end goals and how best to achieve them.Every part of this book has either given me something positive that I can take into my personal life, my life as GAA player and my role as a coach. I I would honestly buy this book for the mindset alone. I will be recommending this to family, friends and all my team. I've read 100's of books at this point and this is up there as one of my favourites.BUY THIS BOOK!!

But when i say i recommend this book to everyone I mean it
Firstly, I wouldn't consider myself a big " reader " I've probably only read 5 books cover to cover in my life, But when i say i recommend this book to everyone I mean it. Even if fitness isn't your main goal the mindset section of this book is frankly fascinating, Its not to heavy and if i was to best describing it, its a gateway into the world of philosophy and mind-set. Its chapters get you thinking of the best version of yourself and your end goals and how best to achieve them. This is the first " mindset " book I've ever read but it will not be my last because now I have some great references of books and philosophers to expanded my own knowledge. Now for the fitness section of this book, its laid out in a way that is simple to understand and easy to read, so great if your just starting your fitness journey, yet still has enough nutritional and training insight for seasoned Gym-Goers and athletes to use. Ok rant over, to sum up i feel this a great book for all to read no matter what stage of your life your in to help you achieve your end vision not matter what that looks like. Thanks Brian,

Good entry level read.
A good entry level fitness book which gets to the point quickly with some good tips and easy to Understand explanations. I have followed Brian on social Media and regularly listen to his Podcasts so was excited to receive the book. Felt slightly let down by the book as it didn't contain anything new or go any deeper into topics already covered by the Podcasts. With Brian's extensive experience in the industry I had hoped for a More in depth read. Saying that I would and have already recommended this book to friend beginning their fitness journey.

We are all different, we need to find the/our 'WHY'!
I've read a bunch of nutrition/exercise books over the years, with varying levels of focus. It's an incredibly confusing landscape, particularly if your balance is off - and maybe even more so, dependant on your actual goals. I'm most probably your average reader, simultaneously wanting to be shredded with a 6 pac whilst continuing to eat pizza and drink beer with abandon, but that is why I found Brian's book (and his podcasts) really rewarding. Ultimately, very few of us will have the focus to achieve the insane bodies we are constantly shown on Instagram or social media (Brian's included!) BUT there are things we can do that are not insanely difficult to help us move toward a better balance. There is a great analogy within the book about a fella who sees a man on a horse hurtling at a hundred miles an hour down the road, and he calls out to ask him where he is going so fast. The guy replies, you should ask the horse! A hilarious and poignant analogy for these crazy times where it is just so easy to look around everyone hurtling about and forget to take charge and go at your own pace. All in all, I highly recommend this book - I am now implementing Brians 2-1-2 in my workouts and feeling pretty happy about my fitness journey...

Raw, honest, interesting, loads of info and no poo talk
I started following brian on Instagram and snapchat about 6months ago and truthfully, at the beginning, I was like ah here's another I'm a fitness guru and look at my body I eat 2billion cals a day but I'm a machine type of lad. But I then started listening to his podcasts and was completely turned around. Brian wasn't like the others you see flaunting and poo talking and most importantly, he wasn't a brand abassador full of my protein or other fitness advertisements. He was as raw as anything. No filter attached and completely honest with all his reviews and thoughts. Literally the ideal person to follow and base your own fitness aspirations on. I'm so glad to have bought this book. The book is literally the way he goes on... 100% honest. No poo talk. It's full of great information about every aspect someone may have, whether fitness related or not. I'm half way though the book and can't put it down. Even have the ol highlighter out as if I'm back in school taking notes on "NB" parts. Haha I've started doing some of his stuff he suggests and I am feeling better in myself and training wise it's improved a good bit. I was never bad at my nutrition and I do train religiously but, If you are someone like me, and is constantly looking at more ways to improve yourself, even mentally, I would highly recommend this book. A great easy read. The man did well and I hope he continues to. So buy it!!! you won't regret it.

Ok, but did not bring new insight
For someone struggling/ searching, this could be a good primer, although it feels like scratching the surface on many fronts. The supplements section is where I disagree strongly: 98% of earths population can do with cleaning up their overall nutrition before considering supplementing.I did appreciate the motivation/ mindset section. Brian is so honest to admit that it his digest of knowledge/ insights from those who came before. It adds value.

Easy read with great info for beginners in nutrition, fitness or self improvement
I wanted to read this for a while after finding the BKF Podcast, and while I'm glad I did (if nothing else to support its content creator, Brian Keane) it was a lot smaller than I imagined. The book isn't an exhaustive read (~170 pages) which means it's an easy to digest book but not as comprehensive as I'd wanted.HOWEVER I'm used to longer reads, for anyone who is a novice at reading, self improvement or nutrition/fitness this book is a GREAT start for you. I've been binge listening to his podcast ^_^" so a lot of the content I already knew. But I did get quite a bit of value from the tips to reduce tiredness/address sleep and stress/anxiety management. The best part about the books format is that you can easily thumb through it to either A) Find what you want to know from it or B) look back at it to remember its advice, as it's easily segmentedAnd if you read this book but don't follow his podcast (BKF Podcast, on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Store, etc.) his podcasts are much more in-depth when you find an episode about the topic you're interested int

Ótimo livro. Excellent book.
I've read so much stuff about fitness in the past that I have confused myself many times. "The fitness mindset" keeps it simple but informative. Brian makes it easy and enjoyable to read and once you start, you can't put it down. If you're like me and living abroad where English is not the first language this is a great read to help you get motivated and focussed.Eu li muitas coisas sobre fitness no passado que eu me confundi muitas vezes. "The fitness mindset" mantém-lo simples, mas informativo. Brian torna mais fácil e divertido ler e, uma vez que você começa, você não pode parar.
