Good story telling
This is one of the better ghost story books. Story's are great at giving back ground of characters. Stories are complete at the end of narrative so no I wonder what happen then. They seemed to Original story no I've read this before in another book. I would recommend this ghost story book.

Seemed promising but turned out to be confusing
The book started off well and to me it felt like it was taking after M R James with no firm endings. But then there were overlaps in the stories that made me feel like there was more to it but nothing concrete really came up. Except for one or two stories that seemed to have come around in a full circle, most other stories left me asking for more. The dialog and the language changed from part I to II, making me wonder if it was the same author. Part II was heavier on the Indianisms in the writing. The verbiage didn't seem as refined as part I. The stories didn't overlap as much as Part I and thus the writing styles were very different. Moreover, there was a story from Australia amongst all the stories from Himalayas. Even a story from Delhi. They all sounded original but of course there's only so much you can innovate for when it comes to the paranormal genre, for most stories feel like you have read them before.I wouldn't really recommend this book to an avid reader of the paranormal genre. This might be a little harsh but it's true.

Good Read
Ms Anita has done an excellent job in writing this book, especially the order of chapters. Especially her verbal manner of making a reader visualize the serene beauty of the North Eastern remote places through simple words is worth an appreciation. Some of the stories were really gripping and genuine edge of the seat sort of thrillers. Thank you Madam! The quality of the book was only just above average, few number of pages were not legible due to poor print quality though.

NOT JUST A ORDINARY BOOK
The book is an emotion while you are reading it. The reviews on its back exactly defined it, you are transported into the realm of this boon when you are reading it. The minute details keeps you hooked up and does not let you get bored even for one minute. Although I thought at first it was going to be a novel but different stories turned out to be better than expected. For everyone out there, I would surely recommend this book, atleast once you guys have to read it:)

Creepyπ, spookyπ» yet addictive π€―
Okay, I'm giving this book a solid five because the way the author narrated the stories. She is an excellent story teller for sure ποΈ π¨οΈπ΅π« π. I'm going to write my review by pros and cons.Pros ποΈβοΈβοΈ π·:1. As I said earlier- excellent story narration π ποΈ β.2. Sometimes I forgot that I was reading and I was in her world with all those characters ππποΈ.3. She made a great effort ππ½ to keep the readers engaged π§π«¨ throughout because as she mentioned, that these are the stories based on true events and she made sure not to present the stories blant π and she spiced them up very well ππ²ππ₯π§.4. I'm not sure if I should add this point in pros but however, all those stories has a similar thing which is:the dead people were once happy π, joyful π, kind π₯° souls but after their dismise they became vengeful π‘, bitterπΊ and evil πΉexcept for a few π. I wonder π€ what makes those souls so hollow π and cold π§.5. Finally, the discription of the mountains and the forests of Shimla was breath taking wowwwwwww ποΈποΈποΈβ°οΈπ³π²πͺ΅πβοΈπΏπ±π ποΈCons ππ₯ποΈπ΅:1. It made me sad when kids were involved and affected directly or indirectly. π₯βΉοΈπ2. And at the end of some stories I felt dissatisfied for some reason maybe because she left it open-ended. πππ3. Some stories are hard to believe that it was based on true events because it felt very cinematic. π πΈ π½οΈπ₯Overall it was a best read. Very impressive ππ½

Author could have made it more logical
This book was not for me. Whatever stories I read, were incomplete in some sense. I read half of the book and don't want to read anymore. Only second story was somewhat interesting to read. For me, a horror story needs to have a reason. Whatever I read till half of the book, I don't see any reason behind the hauntings, except the Hospital story. Why was Hari das after Neema only? Why was Nandy haunted by wandering maiden? What was the reason Kulkarni's were haunted by British ghosts? Without these answers, story is incomplete and makes me not to read anymore.Paper quality and writing style is good by the way. Description of mountains and characters, the nights is good to read and makes you feel that you are present at that place.
