PROTEX Convertible Soft Top Care Kit With Canvas Cleaner & Waterproofer - 500ml

Just used this to do my wifes Mercedes early signs are very good took off all the marks and green algae very impressed so far get a good brush

Easy to use and did a good job

Really good product. Cleans up the canvas, and slightly darkens it. I followed the product instructions, so used a paint brush and could see straight away how thirsty the canvas was for the Protex solution. Left it several hours to dry and tested by pouring water on (see video). Super water resistant, repels it away immediately. My canvas hood only required half of the 500ml bottle; so will apply again in 6 months. Really impressed. 👍

Tried a few waterproofers and this one was perfect! This is just one coat on a mini and I didn’t use all 500ml !! Not enough left to do another coat but it doesn’t need it! The cleaner took all of the green off the roof as well!

After 2 coats applied in perfect conditions to the roof of my MX-5 (there's just enough to do 2 coats on this tiny roof) there is absolutely no water repelling ability at all. Will have to go back to using Renovo. Edit after a month or so there was some signs of water beading but but much.

Really impresses with this product. Have a convertible, which was letting in water due to the heavy rain we have experienced. Hubby used the products which was quite easy to do, he did an extra coat to be sure the following day. The roof dried reasonably quickly in the sunshine and now we have a nice dry inside of the car when it rains. We will certainly use this product again next year.

The kit was applied. The canvas roof 100% better. Even stopped water beading inside. Shampoo could be larger as cleaning was several times to remove the embedded grim.

Not that impressive especially for the price. Followed all instructions to the letter. The cleaner brought some grease and dirt to the surface, but did not remove alot of it even after 3 tries and a soft bristle brush. There is barely enough of the waterproof solution to do the entire top completely. Have a couple of small damp spots when wet. Used another product to redo.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This stuff stopped the roof from leaking in what seemed to be a seal leak but was really a fabric leak.

This product works great. I recommend it to everyone.

Way too complicated. I'm returning it.

Waste of money. Applied as directed and water doesn't even bead. But blessing in disguise because I had dye the roof anyway.
