I bought these to illuminate steps after hearing my husband crash in the middle of the night trying to find the bathroom. Out of the box I thought they seemed too cheap looking to be usable but I am pleasantly surprised. The motion detection is just right, they stay on just long enough to do the job which should save battery life. They don't come on in the day. The light brightness is better than I expected.

I'm only giving these 2 stars because I typically ignore 1 star reviews as they seem to be so often written by people who seem either entitled beyond ever being satisfied or those just heckbent on a scorched earth technique.That said, these little lights are absolutely awful. I bought them to replace two former lights in a cabinet we have that had worked great for many years and only had to be disposed of after batteries leaked within them ruining them.These new lights have not even lasted 6 months and now no longer work at all. And that was after having to already sort of physically rebuild the battery connectors on one unit within a month of installing it.So great, now I have to buy some other new lights and these end up being even more plastic in the landfill. Thanks a lot JJMG for selling such a @#$@ product, you aught be proud indeed.

These lights are great because they only respond to human movements - opening and closing a door won't activate them. I have them installed in a gun safe. They get 4 stars because the batteries sit loosely inside, so if you bump the light it might go out. Usually a tap or shake will re-seat the batteries. Also, the 3M adhesive is not the strongest, so I replaced those strips with a stronger adhesive.

Added these lights to the backside of a utility room door and it works great. Illuminates the space w/o dealing with the wall switch. High traffic area passageway and batteries have lasted a long time. Lights stay off when there is a lot of light in the room such as when the wall switch regular lights are on saving the batteries which is a nice feature.

only 1 of them worked... it was too long after purchase to return the other one.. so if you have one that keeps going thru batteries like the speed of light, SEND IT BACK

They worked great. Even got a cool little wallet knife with it as a gift. I wish the LEDs were brighter it takes both of these lights to light up my pantry well enough and I still wish it was brighter.

As with most LED product, the seller seldom gives the brightness in lumens. These work fine but could be a bit brighter. There's a reason they sell them in a package of two. Debating whether to buy another pair just so they match.

These worked great.. until the adhesive wore out. I was especially happy to find warm white lighting, and these are just the right size for the small closets where I hung them. However, I purchased them 6 months ago and now neither will stay on the wall; the first failed 2 months ago and the second failed today. I've searched for Command or 3M strips the size and shape of these lights, to no avail :(
