Incal 2, The Paperback

This is beautifully drawn and colored with lots of detail. Although the layout takes some getting used to in the screen format, i am adapting and it's worth zooming in and out to be able to read the text and also view the various panels. The story moves quickly and the character development is coming along fine. Expect to want to dive into the next book right away.

Jodo seems to enjoy bringing up bizarre concepts and sci-fi weirdness which he then doesn't bother to go into detail about or explain at length. So it feels like you're missing part of the story but really it saves time and would drag down the pace if we dwelt on such things. And I love Moebius artwork. His world is strange but cool.

Amazing book, Science Fiction at its best, Jodorowsky’s story grabs you and does not let you go, and Moebius’s art is simply amazing, I am reading it on the kindle app, but soon will buy the biggest volume available for my collection, it is a masterpiece of illustration and storytelling.

Det Difool is lost in an acid whirlpool. The end is near. The city is no more. The Emperor’s plan will end them all. Where has the the concrete gull gone ?

Moebius art is stellar once again for the continued adventures of John Difool, Deepo and the luminous incal. Necrodroid be damned.

I read the series, in French, when it came out in the 80's. I liked it then, and I still like it. It aged a little, and has an old-fashioned look, but it's still a great adventure. Lots of imagination at work. From what I remember, the translation seems pretty solid.A great bit of nostalgia.

Love the art, love the story, it's like Star Wars, the Fifth Element, Conan and probably a super hero book combined and then exceeds those expectations. Wonderful series so far, ends on a cliffhanger that makes me want to immediately buy the next volume.

Plot is intricate, world is crazy and art is marvellous... What not to like? I am fascinated. Will read more :)

Awesome art, cool story, a must-have for every comic book fan who wants to read beyond spandex and superpowers. Sci Fi made gorgeous.

This was my last volume of six to get for my collection. My others are all perfect. This was the third attempt to get a mint still sealed copy of this edition. Gutted the damage was just a bit too much to stay in my collection. And now the price for new copies has nearly doubled. If I see Paper Tiger try and resell this higher than they charged me without admitting to the damage, then I will tell the story on Youtube.

La storia riprende da dove è stata lasciata. Chiarisce alcuni punti, molte sorprese emergono, nuovi misteriosi personaggi appaiono e scompaiono nel mistero (sicuramente ci sarà un chiarimento nei prossimi volumi).Nella trama, nei nomi di alcuni personaggi e nei discorsi ritroviamo la spiritualità di Jodorowsky!Grande Genio.

Best of all the underlying mystical story is rich enough to feel like this comic is a mantra that is being unwound as you get more absorbed.
