as your description, I think you need add a filter between system and power souce, because we found some old US - Germany made vehicle the power current is not a DC current, it is just a Pulse signal current when the engine is running. so can you buy a filter to add to reverse lights and camera circult ? if you don't know how to buy one, just contact us leekooluu@outlook.com we can provide one for you

You can run the wire along the bottom of the door under the trim. Or run it along the roof over the headliner. Camera power and the signal to turn the camera on usually comes from the reverse lamp. So you will likely have to remove some trim in the back to get to the reverse lamp wire - check your manual for how to replace that bulb - that will show you how to get to the wire. A problem with many cars - especially vans and SUVs is the reverse light is mounted on the car body, while the license plate is often mounted on the lift-gate or trunk lid. So you'll have to work out a path to get from the reverse lamp to the license plate. That may take several more feet of wire. Some SUVs have rear glass that rolls down in the lift gate. If so, you'll need to be extra careful to run the wire so that it goes around the window and doesn't interfere with its operation. Sometimes there is an advantage to going down the passenger side rather than the drivers side. Check out the entire path and see how any existing wire is run before running your own wire. Be sure to secure the wires so that they don't rattle, move around, or get caught in things. Check how the camera will mount before you run any wire. Sometimes mounting the camera on the license plate interferes with the gate latch or other items. You'll probably want the camera mounted in the center left/right. Not all license plates are centered. It may be easier to mount the camera at the top of the lift gate rather than going all the way down to the license plate.
