Brilliant overview of betting on American sports
Everything in this book is American, the sports, the markets and the odds. I don't bet on these markets much, and I don't use US sportsbooks. The book was also written some years ago. All that said, there's still enough generic information to make it a great book today for me. There's plenty of ideas in there you can extend to your own situation.

Must read
A little bit more difficult for me being based in the UK to understand the logic that goes into creating lines on the prominent US based sports Baseball/NFL as I don't really understand/follow those sports I concentrate primarily on Football,Tennis,Cricket markets. However the level of detail/insight on the how lines are created/monitored was second to none. Also as you touched on in the book the In-play markets in Europe are a lot more mature they've been around for years the information on the 3rd party feed was also a real eye opener.Have to say this was the first book I've put the effort into writing a review on. if you have any interest in learning about the Sports betting industry as a whole you have to read this book. I'll be sure to look for more ass bets :) *****

The book is not for beginners and focuses on the American sportsbooks
Some of the maths could have been simplified more to make the relevant point.

those who can do, those who can't write about it
It is telling the author makes a living writing books on how to make money betting, how to make money playing poker, etc rather than actually making money at these activities.
